Workshop 3: 8 – 11 July 2021 – Wellington
Workshop 4: 2 – 5 September 2021 – Napier
Workshop 5: 25 – 28 November 2021 – Wellington
This is a supervision workshop series consisting of 5 x Four-Day modules based on advanced teaching and deepening of Hakomi skills. It is an opportunity to focus and intensify techniques and theory, to refresh and update existing Hakomi skills, and will support anyone wanting to work towards certification. The course places emphasis on upskilling Hakomi method and techniques through the development of personhood and advanced ways to work with core material in the therapeutic process.
Through the use of exercises, advanced teaching and supervision work we will focus on aspects of the Hakomi method using the format of a Hakomi session. There will be opportunity to develop and fine tune skills and technique, personhood as a therapist and get individual focused feedback about your work in a supportive group situation.
Participants will also be encouraged to form small peer support groups and continue to practice and develop your work between workshops. Each person will be expected to bring a piece of recorded work to each workshop for supervision. This should be with a client.
Support and information regarding certification process will also be offered. You can expect to get clear feedback about where you are in this process and any areas you need to focus on in order to achieve certification. It is expected that it will be possible for some participants to achieve this within the time frame of training series. This will be somewhat dependent on how much work you are able to put into this process alongside the training series.
Expressions of interest in undertaking this training series are now invited and would be appreciated as soon as possible in order to finalise processes. Regular therapeutic work with a minimum of 4 clients weekly is a pre-requisite.
