Friends, On behalf of the City of Tuscaloosa, the City of Northport, Tuscaloosa County and the Tuscaloosa County Park & Recreation Authority, welcome to the 2018 Alabama Recreation and Park Association Conference! Cultural arts, parks and leisure activities attract families and businesses, making our cities better places to live, work and play. Thank you for your dedication to providing better quality of life for all Alabama citizens. We hope you will enjoy your stay here, and will visit us again. Parks are a tangible reflection of the quality of life in a community. Park and Recreation professionals are proud to present programs, facilities and services that add to economic, health and environmental benefits, which helps make their communities a great place to call home. Examples of this in the Tuscaloosa community include taking a stroll along the River Walk, shopping at our River Market, attending a show at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater or dining at a riverside restaurant. Again, we are excited that you are here and we welcome you to Tuscaloosa! Sincerely, Walt Maddox Donna Aaron Hardy McCollum Mayor Mayor Probate Judge City of Tuscaloosa City of Northport Tuscaloosa County
