Marie-Josée Gendron, PhDDirectorofResearchandDevelopmentatPearsonAssessment Canada Dr.Gendron,SeniormemberoftheResearchteam,hasadoctoraldegreeinPsychology(Concordia)andaMaster’sdegreeinEdu-cationalPsychology(McGill).PriortojoiningPearson,shewasanAssessmentConsultantwithManitobaEducation.AtPearson,shehasledmanyCanadianstandardizationprojects.Sheworkedwiththe Learning Opportunities Task Force of the Ministry of Education of Training, Colleges and Universities in Ontario in developing Franco OntariannormsforthekeyWechslerscales.Aswell,Dr.GendronworkedincollaborationwiththeEducationQualityandAccountabil-ityOfficeoftheMinistryofEducationinOntarioindevelopingtheirFrenchandEnglishitemsfortheirupcomingprovincialtests.Morerecently,shehasledtheCanadianstandardizationprojectoftheWechsler Adult Scale of Intelligence: Canadian (WAIS–IV ) jointlywiththeU.S.

Goldberg, PhD CPsychDepartmentofPsychology,YorkUniversity DrGoldbergisanAssistantProfessorintheYorkUniversityPsychol-ogyDepartmentandAssociateProfessor(Part-Time),DepartmentofPsychiatryandBehaviouralNeurosciences,McMasterUniversity.HisexcellenceinteachinghasbeenrecognizedthroughtheFacultyofHealthYorkUniversityTeachingAward(2007-2008),theMc-MasterUniversityContinuingBehaviouralStudiesTeachingAward(2006-2007)andtheMSUMcMasterUniversityFacultyofScienceTeachingAward(1996);thatsameyear,hereceivedtheAwardofMeritfromtheOntarioPsychologicalAssociationforDistinguishedContributionstotheProfession.IntheDepartmentofPsychiatryand Behavioural Neurosciences, he chaired the Psychological Tests studyareafor15yearsandwasaConsultingEditorfortheAPAjournalPsychologicalAssessmentforoveradecade.PriortohisacademicpositionshewasastaffpsychologistattheClarkeInsti-tuteandforabouttwodecadestheClinicalDirectoroftheHam-iltonProgramforSchizophrenia,acommunity-basedpsychiatricrehabilitationoutpatientservice.
The latest revision of the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale – Fourth Edition (WAIS-IV) brings both familiarity and novelty to psychologists who have consistently rated the WAIS among the most popular test instru-ments for clinical use. This workshop will provide key practical knowledge and hands-on demonstrations relevant to WAIS-IV clinical use and interpretation.
