The Bradford County Times is
putting out a good clean paper
It may yet take an aeroplane
This is a closed season for titlehunting by American heireses
We see by the papers that thepoets have mobilized
War may be sport of Kingsbut Kings are the sport of tomething higher
There ought to be enough in
Mexicos broad territory for bothCarranza and Villa
After a nation finds out it cannot settle anything by war itresorts to reason
For a season the Socialists ofEurope may rest Emperors aredoing their work for them
In a short time it nec-essary to look into the discards-to discover a few missing Kings
With all the armies of Europetangoing around the continent
toes are sure to bestepped upon
who was arrested for stealing rattlesnakemight be expected to vote infaver of war
Wouldnt it he dreadful if somebelligerent were to capture the
ship on which Huortq sailed andturn him over to Villa
he some years beforethe European centers of art andlearning will see many Americans again Europes culture istoo explosive

LION PARK TRAMMELL REDUCES
TallahasseeFor some weeksTrammeJl has been gathering information that he may determinewhat reduction if any ho couldmake in the State tax millagefor the 1014 assessment TileGovernor about the first of August was satisfied he could makea reduction of one and a halfmill in the pension tax and soordered but to determine wheth-er or not still further reduction-of the state millago could bemade it was necessary for theGovernor to take further timeto gather more definite data froma large number of the Tax Assessors He asked the Assessors forthis information und now sincereceiving reasonably accurate information from practically all ofthe counties the Governor liasreached the conclusion that acting within his discretion to lower the State miltuge ho will reduce the said State ofseven mills as fixedby law to five and millsfor the assessment of 1914 andhas made proper orders coveringsaid two mills reduction
The effect of the order of Governor Train rnell in reducing thenfillago is that the amount oftaxes will be paid for 3014will be nearly sixhundred thous-and dollars less than would havebeen collected had the Governorallowed the millage to remain atseven and a half mills Govern-or Trammell believes in keepingtaxes as low as reasonably permissible considering the necessa-ry expenses of the State govern-ment and also thinks the tax-payers should not be required topay such high taxes as to createa surplus in any fund uponwhich the State would get onlya small rate of interest
