COLLECTION REPORT AUTUMN /WINTER 2019/2020
TRENDS AUTUMN /WINTER 2019/2020
New Classic is next season’s key word. Checks and
animal prints strut coolly and merrily on modern fab-
rics – super-slim or in new widths. Denim is elegant
and clean, cotton sweeps colour and lightness into
the grey season.
COLOURS
Spicy and hot: There is a lot of added spice next winter!
Aniseed, cinnamon, curcumin, honey, hazelnut, vanilla
and nougat whet appetite for new play with colours.
Bright foliage colours, warm earth and rust tones such
as camel, cognac and fawn brown light up sombre
autumn days.
Relaxation and quiet are conveyed by greens and nat-
ural tones such as sage, moss, smoky wood colours,
olive and khaki.
Contrasting is the power colour red in all nuances.
Whether cherry, ruby, garnet, bordeaux, pink, violet
or purple – the signs are set to red alert!
Blues are dominated by dark blue, deep sea blue,
blueberry and cornflower.
STYLES
Keeping in step – this is the motto of the coming winter
season. After all, there has not been so much trouser
diversity for a long time!
Contemporary and modern trouser shapes are softly
flowing and relaxed like the culottes, flared and wide
leg. A touch of nonchalance on top is imbued by dec-
orative elements from athleisure such as zips, wordings
and braids.
The slim silhouette is still dominating the sporty sector,
however also here new nonchalant trouser models waft
in fresh air such as chinos and boot leg with cargo
and jogg cuff details.
Our evergreen darling jeans are ornamented with zip
elements, ribbons, D rings, new labels and colour tone
in tone rivets.
Fashionable rhinestone or flocked motifs in animal look
rock us through the day and the evening! The hem is
still in the spotlight – especially with shortened models.
PRINTS
Rooooaarrr- winter 2019/2020 is full of roaring! Animal
prints such as leopard – often as mini leopard in batique
look but also python come in all print variations.
Playful Gobelin tapestry prints come up in current
wintery colours on five pockets models as do checks
in connection with paisleys.
Imaginative patch patterns create a picture in fashion
rich in diversity. Graphical prints look quite linear on
technical textiles and thus complete the prints topic.
FABRICS
The look of the Windsors is the season’s topic. Whether
sporty on bi stretch cotton fabric or – very British - in
woolly or wool like blends, checks fuse enthusiasm for
more modern classics. We like Black Watch, tartans
and colour accentuated glenchecks in new variations
and colours.
Very innovative are colourfully knitted, checked jerseys.
Glenchecks threaded through with pink and purple,
super hounds’ tooth patterns and colour accentuated
glenchecks with overlaid checks represent the new
classicism. Plain colour or printed techno stretch is also
indispensable in winter 2019/2020.
Jersey and scuba fabrics come in new looks, e.g. with
strong diagonal weave – cool look, warm wearing comfort.
Hot smart pants in modern blends with a little stiffness
can show the character of light double fabrics or diag-
onal character.
In the sporty sector cotton trousers are gaining signifi-
cance. Corduroy and sports velvet splash colour into

the grey season. Velvety baby corduroy in modal blend
enchants with its very soft hand. Contrasting with this
is sporty fine corduroy with washing effects. Narrow
trousers in supersoft tencel blend remain commercially
important in the casual sector, however nonchalant
shapes demand flowing fabric qualities in gabardine
or cavalry twill weave.
Raw denim is the topic – often also given fashionable
coatings.
Also in this segment according to the trend, there are
wider trouser silhouettes which are made from a lighter
denim with less stretch.
Technically perfect bi stretch denim made of spring back
yarns guaranteeing an excellent resilience promises an
unbelievable wearing comfort. Deep dark blue coloured
black silver is the season’s colour here.
Sensational denim in the new autumn/winter colours
strides along in nonchalant washes. The fashionable
colour range is rounded off with coloured denim.
Leather looks and coatings on various basic fabrics are
lighter, more elastic and partly have a metallic shimmer.
