ZOHL Consultancy Sdn. Bhd was incorporated on the 7th February
1995. We started our business by providing technology and
management consultancy services to the local & international
Information & Communication Technology (ICT) companies. We are
now venturing into other sectors such as utilities, oil & gas, banking &
finance, manufacturing, constructions, hospitality and transportation.
The stunning economic growth together with the healthy regulatory
environment has prompted the formation of this highly dynamic group
of professional organization. The group major strength lies within the
resources found in the individuals who form the foundation of the firm.
With a strong commitment to excel in our business endeavor, we are

Structure and Organisation
ZOHL coordinates projects from its head office in Kuala Lumpur. The
expertise for management and technology consultancy is bundled in
seven competence divisions. Acquisition activities are carried out by six
sector-oriented business divisions.
ZOHL’s matrix organisation makes quick and flexible reactions to
customer requirements possible. In order to provide optimum services
for our customers we create interdisciplinary consulting teams
composed of experts from the competence and business divisions.
They work as an independent project group until a set task is
completed and the customer’s requirements are fulfilled. The location
and composition of each consulting team depend on the set task and
the professional requirements. Local offices are established if needed,
depending on special requirements and the duration of the project.
These project offices provide the team with the necessary infrastructure
for the project implementation and guarantee an immaculate service
delivery.
Further support for our consultants onsite is always available from
specialists in the competence and business divisions at ZOHL head
office. This ensures that the customer always has speedy access to
special knowledge which goes beyond that of the consultants onsite,
e.g. when new questions arise.

FOUNDERS BIODATA Dr Zulkifli Hassan He has over 25 years experience in telecommunications, IT and related industries. He obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Physics from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, USA in 1984. He continued his education at Polytechnic Institute of New York University (NYU) in New York to obtain his MSc and Industrial Doctorate both in Electrical Engineering in 1987 and 1992, respectively. He then spent one year at Columbia University in New York City for his post-graduate study (Dr Engr Sc) where his dissertation was on the Performance Evaluation and Analysis of All Optical Network Architecture (AONA). His current research interests are in software engineering, innovative product design & development, ITIL policy & guidelines, content development, optical communication systems, cellular communication systems, and high-speed broadband networks and systems. While in the USA he spent two years working as a researcher at Bellcore, four years as Electrical Engineer for the City of New York Board of Education and a year at Metropolitan Life Insurance, Inc. before returning home to Malaysia in 1992 to join CELCOM Sdn.Bhd. in their R&D Department as senior systems engineer. A year later he was promoted to manager to head the Transmission and Radio Systems Group. While in Celcom, he was involved in various projects such as fiber optic feasibility study for Celcom-Sesco network, SDH transmission technology assessment, analog and digital cellular network (GSM) assessment, microwave and satellite communication systems design, etc. The scope of work involved technical and commercial feasibility studies, preparation of business plan, preparation of business proposal, in-house technology and standards consultancy, tender document preparation and evaluation, and technology assessment for the company. After Celcom, in 1995 he formed his owned consulting firm, ZOHL Consultancy Sdn Bhd, looking into the telecommunications, IT, multimedia, broadcasting, consumer electronics, and computing industries. He is also sitting on the Board of Directors of ZOHL Industries Sdn Bhd, particularly, overseeing the business development, corporate strategy, business plan, project implementations and technology assessment for the entire Group. A member of IEEE, IEEE Comsoc, Optical Society of America (OSA), Sigma Pi Sigma, New York Academy of Sciences, and the Board of Engineer Malaysia. He had also served as a member of the Photonic Enthusiast Group, a technology sub-committee formed by MiGHT to look into the trend and direction of Photonic industry in Malaysia. He has also provided consulting services to MAVCAP, Celcom, Telekom Malaysia, Telekom R&D, Sotelgui (Republic of Guinea), Warren Group (Sudan), and others. Yusni Bt Mohd Som She has over 20 years experience in the ICT industry. Yusni graduated in 1987 from Loyola University New Orleans, USA, with BBA in Management. She then went to obtain her MBA in International Management and Telecommunications from University of San Francisco, USA in 1989. She started her career as systems engineer with Mesiniaga in 1990 where she was responsible for supporting and developing Mesiniaga business in various private and public sectors. In particular, she was involved in the Health industry promoting products and solutions from IBM. One of her major clients was Institut Jantung Negara where she and her team managed to secure the deal to supply and install one of the first Total Hospital Information System in Malaysia.
After more than three years with Mesiniaga, she joined Celcom as Buisness Development executive. It was with Celcom that Yusni started to develop and polish her skills in project management, business process engineering, corporate strategy formulation, and thought leadership, to name a few. While in Celcom Yusni was involved in several high profile projects such as the set-up of Celcom Fiber Optic Transmission Network joint-venture companies in Sabah and Sarawak. In 1997, she headed the Regulatory Department to oversee regulatory aspects of the communications and multimedia industry which covers the Ministry of Energy Communications & Multimedia, Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission and industry players. She was also involved in the pre and post formation of Consumer, Content, Access and Technical Forum as Protem and Committee Members. In addition, she also represented Celcom in Local, Regional and International Forum. In addition, she had also worked with international consulting firms such as AT Kearney, Boston Consulting Group, PWC, and Detecon. In 2003 she led a team of local consultants together with AT Kearney to conduct a study for the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) entitled “Review the Existing Framework and Future Development of the Networked Content Industry in Malaysia”. The outcome of the study was a document on a ten-year Strategic Plan on Networked Content Industry in Malaysia 2004-2013.
Consultants Biodata Edward Allen Edward Allen since graduating from Liverpool University in Histology has pursued a career in retail Management. For over 15 years he was self- employed developing his own chain of 80 television rental shops before selling his enterprise to a subsidiary of Philips Electronics in 1987. Since then he has developed a consultancy enterprise covering the UK, Europe, USA, Japan and Hong Kong and more recently Malaysia. From 1989 to 2002 he was employed by the British Post Office in various senior management roles, including Network Transformation, Transformation of the Post Office from a Civil Service Operation into a Customer Focused Service Provider. Before his early retirement in 2002 he was Group Director responsible for Outlet and Service design – ensuring product and service development matched the changing aspirations and needs of the Post Office customer base. Many of the stakeholders serviced by the British Post Office where government departments and related service provider who required a greater level of automated customer fulfilment and service. Since marrying his Malaysian wife in 2006, Edward settled in Malaysia in 2011 on a spouse (social) visa. Whilst maintaining his consultancy links throughout Asia, USA, UK and Europe, Edward has been working for MSU lecturing to the MBA Entrepreneur Graduates and completes work regularly on behalf of MARA. Edward offers a unique expertise gained by combining work within the Consultancy, Entrepreneur and Organizational Transformation fields that make him a valuable addition to the consultancy team at ZOHL Consulting Group.

Gee Kok Hong
Mr. Gee Kok Hong graduated from Monash University, Australia
in economics and politics.
He was Celcom’s V.P. - Channel Marketing and later, Sr. V.P. -
Marketing and Strategy. In these capacities, he was
instrumental in planning and executing Celcom’s business cum
marketing strategies that engendered the rise of an infant
company in 1990 to a behemoth in mobile cellular services in
1996.
In 1997, he became a consultant in telecommunications
marketing and strategy in various countries ranging from
Indonesia to Eritrea, Sudan, and Uzbekistan, as well as, being
an entrepreneur for telecommunications infrastructure
installation and wholesale of cell-phones.
In 2000, he consulted for Amalgamated Composite
Technologies Sdn. Bhd. (an off-shoot of Sportma Corporation
Bhd.) where he steered its diversification from the use of two
production methods to four manufacturing processes and for a
greater variety of advanced composite products.
In 2002, he joined AtlasONE Sdn. Bhd. as Vice President cum
Chief Operating Officer and in 2005 he joined Jaring
Communications Sdn. Bhd. as General Manager; in both
instances to helm the respective companies’ broadband
wireless internet businesses.
He also consulted with YTL eSolutions Bhd. on WiMAX strategy
in 2006 and U Mobile Sdn. Bhd. on 3G strategy in 2009.
Additionally, he was involved in a myriad of endeavors, viz. the
marketing of Light Emitting Diode (LED) lamps, security
encryption, and agribusiness.
He is currently, engaged with CCS Comservice (Malaysia) Sdn.
Bhd. and its related company - Hongda Energy & Telecom Sdn.
Bhd. in the areas of business development and project
management for renewable energy and telecommunications.
Teh Chuin Yi (Jane)
Jane Teh spent the first half of her career in corporate sales,
starting with a small IT Reseller, to a Distributor of high-end
servers and storage, then climbing the ranks to becoming
Business Manager of one of the major Multi National
Corporations in Personal Computers before embarking on the
entrepreneurship route. She is currently the Director of a
Beauty Salon that makes women 10 years younger in just 8
weeks, and Director-Consultant for the largest referral
marketing organization in the world, BNI Connect.. She also
wrote a Diploma in Spa Management, and is spa-program
coordinator with BERJAYA University of Hospitality.
Jane holds a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Finance and
Marketing from Curtin University, Perth, Western Australia. She
sits on the Alumni Committee of Curtin University for the
Malaysian Chapter. She is currently a lecturer of Business Ethics
and Corporate Citizenship in BERJAYA University of Hospitality
and is a Certified Trainer, HRDF, Malaysia.
Having the experience of being both employee and business
owner, Jane stresses the importance of planning, process and
execution; with particular focus in Sales, Marketing,
Channel/Partner Management and Business Development. She
has trained resellers on product knowledge, and participants on
personal development skills, effective communication skills,
teamwork, and presentation skills.
With strong convictions in ethical and business foundations,
Jane runs impactful and effective programs sharing her
knowledge in entrepreneurship, business networking, referral
marketing and salesmanship. Jane trains participants in
managing team performance, and has successfully adopted the
Amoeba Management System into her lectures for Business
Ethics. She has also fruitfully facilitated practical CSR Projects
and guided many GEN Ys through experiential learning.
Jane is passionate to lead entrepreneurs and sales teams to
success and profitability, by using Philip Crosby’s unique
management tools for the organization such as "doing it right
the first time (DIRFT)” system, "Quality Management Maturity
Model", "Zero Defect Action Model", and 3P (People / Process /
Profit) solution. 3P (People / Process / Profit) solution means
"People's Influence / Process Integration / Profit Growth" with
the aim of bringing value proposition, business critical
resources and capabilities, to interact, to break down and to
optimize the “quality chain” in order to gain “end to end”
integrity of the competitive edge so as to improve the quality
aspect of the organization.
Dr Teh Chin Weng (William)
Teh Chin Weng – Registered Engineer, CEI, UK, has in total
more than 40 years of experience, with 20 years full
responsibility for bottom line P&L, in Manufacturing and Sales
& Marketing business sectors. He also has experience in factory
start up, and in managing and executing new products
marketing and project developments. He has exposure in
several senior positions of Malaysian and Foreign owned
companies with positions ranging from Technical Engineer,
Departmental Manager, Factory Manager, Plant Manager,
General Manager to Group General Manager and as Senior
Business Consultant. The facilitator attained a PhD, Advanced
Diploma in Business & Management, Diploma in Toyota
Production System, and has a Certificate of Education,
Malaysia. Besides that, he is a Certified Trainer HRDF Malaysia
Certified Great Britain College Consortium Assessor, Associate
Consultant Taylor's University, SME CORP Expert Advisory
Panel.
Don Jaffre Daud
Don has more than 25 years of experience in advertising, event
management and creative industry. He is also passionate about
content development and has produced and help produced
several local dramas. He is now involved with business
development for ZOHL Group.
