Evolution influenced the history of all animals
Taxonomy is Hierarchical
The Ecological Perspective
• Understanding the relationships between organisms in the same ecosystem is imperative
• By understanding relationships, zoologists can work to create solutions to problems resulting from exploitation, over-use of resources or any other kind of disaster

• You have the rest of the period today and half of the period tomorrow to research a current issue in Zoology.
• You should gather information about the issue, what’s being done about it and any controversies surrounding it.
• Tomorrow, we will discuss these issues as a class – so be prepared.
