How to Set up Kindle Reading App on a PC

1)The easiest way to get to the website is start at Google and search “Kindle reading app”. Select the link for “PC” under “Free Kindle Apps”.

2) Select “Download Now”.

3)At the popup window, select “Save File”. (Tip: this process may differ slightly by browser.)

4)When the Downloads window (Firefox only) appears, double click “KindleForPC-installer.exe”.

5) Select “Run”

6)If you already have an Amazon account, enter email and password. If not, select “Create one now” and create an account.

7)Once you’re signed in with an Amazon account, you will see your “library” of books. There are three sections: “All Items,” “Downloaded Items,” and “Archived Items”

8)To access Library Kindle eBooks you’ve already checked out, select “Archived Items.” Double-click the title’s cover. That opens it and adds it to your “Downloaded Items.” [NOTE: You cannot check out books from the App.]
