Traveling abroad and domestically has its drawbacks, including delays, uncomfortable flights, problems with rental cars, and the dreaded TSA. However, in the future, these issues are slated to be completely eradicated. How? Well, as technology advances, the experts in the travel industry are working to simplify processes and make it easier for you to make it to your destination without stress and with minimal effort.

Here’s how they’re doing it.

Visualizing the FUTURE OF TRAVEL

Renting a car could be a very different experience in the near future.

RENTING CARS

Some companies are currently using a sharing system, which allows drivers to pick up a car that is conveniently near them at an hourly rate,

such as Zipcar and Hertz.

Self-driving rental cars will pick up travelers at

the airport.

The passenger’s favorite radio station will already

be on.

It will automatically adjust to their preferred

temperature.

The car will input their destination automatically

through a travel management system.

The major focus on automation and efficiency will allow travelers to reach their destinations in comfort, safety, and without the current hassle that many complain about. Reaching this reality without compromise is the ultimate challenge that many travel companies are facing today, but it’s perfectly plausible that these obstacles will easily be overcome as technology advances in the near future.
