Dr Ambedkar – A symbol of Social Justice: Sri P Madhusudan, CMD, RINL

*Dr Ambedkar Jayanti celebrated in Ukkunagaram amidst chanting of “Jai Bheem”

Sri P Madhusudan, CMD, RINL recalled the services and contribution of Dr BR Ambedkar in framing the Indian Constitution and for upliftment of women and particularly the downtrodden in the society.

Sri Madhusudan paid rich tributes and garlanded the statue of Bharat Ratna Dr B R Ambedkar on the occasion of his Jayanti in the presence of Sri PC Mohapatra, Director (Projects), Dr GBS Prasad, Director (Personnel), Sri DN Rao, Director (Operations) and Sri TVS Krishna Kumar, Director (Finance) and representatives of SC&ST welfare association and union leaders in Ukkunagaram today.

Addressing the gathering, Sri Madhusudan observed that Dr Ambedkar is a symbol of social justice and his visionary leadership and determination in achieving individual rights was highly appreciated by one and all in the country and abroad. Sri Madhusudan on this occasion, called upon the VSP collective to work with team spirit and dedication to reap the benefits by ramping up and stabilizing the production from the new units of 6.3 mtpa capacity.

Sri PC Mohapatra, Director (Projects), Dr GBS Prasad, Director (Personnel), Sri DN Rao, Director (Operations) in their address stressed the need to follow and practice his ideals and philosophy for betterment of the society.

Sri B Naik, Liaison Officer, SC&ST Cell presided over the meeting. Sri YK Garg, Sri P Satyanarayana, President and General Secretary respectively of Steel Executives Assn, Sri Mantri Rajsekhar, General Secretary of recognized union (INTUC), Sri Jagjeevanram, Sri Anvesh, Sri K Raghavulu from SC&ST Welfare Association, Smt Sheeba Rani from WIPS paid rich tributes and spoke on the occasion.

Later, CMD and Directors distributed prizes to the winners of various competitions conducted on the topic “Contribution of Dr BR Ambedkar in shaping Modern India” by Welfare section of HR Dept to mark the occasion.

Representatives of unions, SC&ST association, senior officers, large number of employees and school children participated.
