Personal skills and competences:

Orthopaedic main topics are joint preserving procedures (arthroscopic, knee operations and sports medicine) and joint replacements (hip, knee). Established Center for Shockwave Medicine and Tissue Engineering in Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan.

Scientific work: Has published 200 scientific papers (most are SCI articles) and many international and national presentations. Awards: Best poster award from AAOS (Am Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons) annual meeting in San Francisco in 2008. Best research paper from Taiwan Orthopedic Research Society in 2008. Outstanding paper from Chang Gung Medical Journal in 2007, 2010, 2012 and 2014. Bronze medal award and NSQ (National Symbol of Quality), Taiwan Biotechnology Institution 2011.

Extracorporeal shockwave therapy:

Since 1997, in the beginning experience only with bone indications, later on treatment of all orthopaedic indications in shockwave treatment.
