About the Seminar

Call for Papers

The basic theme of the seminar is to create awareness and highlight the importance of latest developments in IT field. In the present context, Computer Science plays a vital role in empowering India as an emerging technological superpower. The research activities in these areas have high potential in impacting the society at large and leading to the economic growth of the nation.

The conference creates a forum and provides a platform for exchange of ideas, debate challenges and discuss potential solutions on emerging topics related to Computer Science.

The conference looks for significant contributions to all the major fields of the Computer Science and Information Technology in theoretical and practical aspects.

The main objectives of the conference are:

a. Continuous development.

b. Platform for researchers to discuss the future trends of Computer Science and its application.

c. Strengthen linkage between academia, researchers and industry.

Papers are invited in the following thrust areas: Image, Text and Speech processing, Information retrieval, Software engineering, Data Mining, Artificial intelligence, Databases and applications, Grid Computing, Computer Network and Security, E-commerce and E-application, Computer Graphics, Distributed and Parallel Processing, Wireless and Mobile Computing, Multimedia application, Knowledge Data Engineering, Neural Networks, Cloud Computing, IT applications in Libraries. Topics are not confined to the above list.

Title of the paper: bold, 14pt, Author name: bold, 12pt, Address including corresponding author: 10pt, Abstract: 10pt, Keywords: not exceeding 6 words and the full body text -10pt in single column format. Font - Times New Roman, 1.5 line spacing. Paper is to be typed in English in MS word format 2007. The soft copy of the full length paper not exceeding six pages in the above mentioned

Invitation

Government Science College, finds its place of pride in

being one of the pioneer institutions to provide higher

education in the state. It started as an Intermediate college

in the year 1921 and has grown to include Undergraduate

and Post-Graduate Science courses, and taken a leap into

the future by offering research opportunities leading to

Ph.D degree. A student stepping into the college has now a

wide range of options to explore: 17 combinations in

science ranging from the Basic Sciences to advanced

courses such as Biotechnology, Microbiology, Computer

Science and Electronics. This college is proud to have

contributed to the society's growth and consciousness

over 95 years of glorious existence through its own set of

students who are etched as knowledge revolutionaries in

the by-lanes of history.

The college campus spreads over an area of 7 acres and

housed in this environment are cutting edge laboratories,

library, museums, ICT enabled classrooms and necessary

facilities for higher education.

The college boasts of being the only Government College in rdthe state to have been bestowed with NAAC 'A+' grade (3

cycle), coveted CPE status for the second time and

recognised by DST-FIST.

Department of Computer Science was started in the year

1998 and is one of the largest departments catering to 400

students with dedicated faculty. Department has four

combinations in B.Sc along with BCA course.

The Department is focussed on its growth and has planned

lot of activities to improve the quality of education,

increase the employability of the students, contribute to

research and in turn make an impact on the society. This

conference is one such initiative.
