What will you be doing…

• We will be reading five of Dr. Seuss’ books in class. However, feel free to read as many as you would like in your spare time. The five we are going to be focusing on are: 1) Green Eggs and Ham 2) The Cat in the Hat 3) The Lorax 4) Oh the Places You’ll Go 5) How the Grinch Stole Christmas. • At the end we will be creating the next Dr. Seuss book!

• You will get into groups of three. You will all help with each aspect of the book, however one person will be the author, one person will be the illustrator, and the other person will be the editor. • Author- Writes the book• Illustrator- Creates pictures for the book• Editor- Checks for spelling and grammatical errors. • *****EVERYONE WORKS TOGETHER AND HELPS WITH

• The books need to be five pages with five illustrations. If creativity and time allow you may do more! • The book needs a beginning, middle, and an ending. • The book needs to have setting, plot, characters,

conflict, and resolution.
