The Conserva on Concept depicted on this map is intended to highlight some of the higher priority conserva on opportuni es in the mid-Willame e Valley to help focus and coordinate future on-the-ground efforts. High priority areas were iden fied based on conserva on data provided by The Nature Conservancy, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, and others; aerial photo interpreta on; and input provided by numerous mid-valley conserva on partners during two work sessions held on May 16, 2014 (east side of Willame e River) and on June 11, 2015 (west side of Willame e River). The concept is non-regulatory and subject to voluntary landowner par cipa on. Funding for this effort was provided by Greenbelt Land Trust and The Nature Conservancy along with in-kind services provided by numerous conserva on partners.
