Communications

We are utilizing the next generation of communications by leveraging all media resources. These forms of communication are not only for our Cisco team globally but friends and family to get involved in

making a difference.

Internal opportunities we have taken are multiple Scoop posts, Segment meetings, Staff calls . We want to continue on our launch tour to each team to spread the word on volunteering and giving back

“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” Cisco’s mission is to foster giving back to local communities worldwide

In FY 11, employees increased their community service by 12 percent. Cisco employees volunteered 166,445 hours, generating $904,002 in matching funds for their time. GTMSS was involved in the overall growth of Cisco giving back, and we would like to see our team continue to grow and exceed all expectations.

Community Calendar

Throughout the year we all participate in various charity events and we use email to communicate event information. Post your event in our IWE, Facebook or Twitter for future events that either

you or a family/friend is participating in. These spaces can be utilized for participation and financial support in future events.

Some of the ideas we have come up with to gain support are to incorporate our Cisco location charity events. Examples are Toys for Tots, Coat Drive, March Of Dimes etc. We want to create a global

initiative for all of GTMSS to get involved with events in their area and around the world.
