Who’s who and what’s what Your Hosts This is a Dragons Abreast National Convention however DA Canberra will be at your service to welcome you and make your visit to Canberra and the Convention attendance an enjoyable, meaningful, useful and positive experience. 2013 is the Centenary year for our nation’s capital and there will be lots to do and see. We will shortly be sending you more information on what’s on In case you can stay a little longer. Bookings Please book through Try Bookings - Early Bird Convention bookings are being taken until 22 February at http://www.trybooking.com/BZVR. The cost for early bird registration is $270 which includes welcome drinks and the convention dinner. After 22 February the full registration fee of $300 will apply. You can also book for only the Convention Dinner on Try Bookings. The cost is $90. Cancellation Policy The Convention Registration fee is non-refundable. If you have registered and find you are unable to attend you may arrange an alternate person to attend in your place. Please contact the Convention Committee at [email protected] to arrange a substitution. Registrations You will be able to register and receive your Convention Bag on Friday 17 May from 6pm prior to the Convention Welcome Reception (venue TBC). Accommodation We encourage you to book your accommodation early as it may be tight in 2013 due to it being the Canberra Centenary year. We have blocked accommodation for delegates at The Brassey and also Forrest Park Apartments (walking distance to the convention) in the parliamentary triangle.

Convention Dinner Will be at the Terrace at the Australian War Memorial. Buses will pick up at the Brassey and Forrest Park and take you on a magical site seeing tour of Canberra’s treasures on your way to and from the War Memorial. Michael Milton, Skier, cyclist, trekker, triathlete, world and Australian record holder, Paralympian, Olympian will be our guest speaker. Dress: Smart casual to as dressy as you like! The Weather Autumn in Canberra is glorious and usually clear and sunny, but it can be getting a little frosty so bring a warm jacket and shoes. Last year around the same weekend we had a minimum overnight temperature of minus 4 and maximum of 16 degrees. DAA Quilt We have a superb response so thank you to the majority of groups across the country who has already contributed their glorious patches or great photos to be included in our quilt. It will be just stunning when it is unveiled at the Welcome event.
