Do you want to see the ideas you put on paper or into a 3D model come to life? Everything that is built or manufactured starts with a design team.

As a member of that design team, you may be creating complex drawings and 3D models. Whether you have an interest in the design of buildings, roads, or manufactured parts, our program will give you the tools to be successful in whatever type of company you choose.

The Drafting and Design Engineering Technology program features sophisticated Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and hands-on labs complete with the software to help you master the skills needed to start a career. For years, graduates who possess these skills have been in incredible demand.

You will receive in-depth instruction on creating two-dimensional and three-dimensional drawings and even get the chance to work with a 3D printer. You will study mechanical, architectural, civil, structural, and electrical design. As a result of this broad exposure, you will have both the depth and breadth to work with engineers, architects, owners, and the fabricators who turn ideas into finished products.

OR Accuplacer Next Gen Test Scores • Math 241 • Reading 250 • English 251

Applicants that meet the minimum test scores and a GPA of 3.0 will be automatically admitted to the program.

If you fall below these scores don’t worry, we still encourage you to apply and your application will be reviewed.

Accuplacer Next Gen is offered Monday through Friday by appointment in our Testing Center in the Dr. Donald M. Claycomb Information Technology Center.
