hornsThe chief form of the horns used in the

Indian art industries are buffalo and bison horns to manufacture horn it is kept moist with coconut oil and heated before a fire

until it becomes soft like wax .It is polished and ornamentation is applied with a fine double pointed seel-graving tools small rude lathe, fine saw, a few triangular blade pair of compasses geaving tools of

fine varying sizes .The buffalo horn is largely employed but

least beautiful. The beson horn has a more artistic

material and lends itself to better treatment.
