Welcome back Learners and Parents. We hope you had a fantastic holiday and

wonderful break. We are looking forward to a fun-filled and exciting year and look

forward to working together in 2020.

A friendly reminder that our Parent Information Evening will take place on

Tuesday 21st January at 18:00.

We thank you for your support throughout 2019 and look forward to a fantastic 2020.

Parents are reminded that it is the finance practice of the school to charge fees in advance, over

a 10 month period. Therefore, 1st payment towards school fees should have been made. We

kindly request that if payment has not been made, that you do so at your nearest convenience

and we thank you in advance for your assistance in this regard.

Parents,

Please take note of the following regarding the dispensing of medication at school: School staff are NOT in a position to

prescribe or dispense medication for any child. Only a licensed health professional e.g. doctor, nurse, physiotherapist

etcetera , may prescribe and or dispense medication.

This type of action by a staff member is prohibited as it amounts to a school making a determination of what a sick child

needs when it is NOT licensed to do so. They school will communicate with Parents if their child is not well.

However, the school may accept a request from a Parent or Guardian, to administer (NOT personally prescribe) medicine;

which has already been prescribed for a child by a licensed medical professional. Should a parent wish for the school to

administer prescribed medication to the child on their Parent/Guardian behalf, they are required to request this in a formal

written request.

We truly appreciate your support and understanding in this regard.
