Brazil is approximately• Latitude: 22 deg. South• Longitude: 43 deg. West

I plan to spend 10 days in a journey, exploring Brazil for my dream vacation. I plan to stay in the City of Rio de Janeiro for 7 days.

Currency Exchange:1 US dollar is equal to 2 Brazilian Real's

Trip dates: June 12th to 22nd 2009

Brazil

Even though the majority of the people in Brazil speak Portuguese, I'm going to stick out like a typical English speaking tourist. But there are many reasons to encourage myself to travel to Brazil. For one, Brazil is tropical and is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Not only does it have a beach, It also has a magnificent rainforest that is home to many species that are on the verge of extinction. It seems to be a perfect place to explore many once in a lifetime experiences and opportunities.

Day 1

I plan to head to Philadelphia for a flight at 8:05am departing to Atlanta Georgia Georgia which will be arriving at 10:45am.

There will be a long layover therefore, I will explore the airport and wait until 9:35pm to depart from there and take a long 9 hour and 44 minute plane ride to Rio de Janeiro.

I will be arriving at 8:19am and a rental car will be waiting for me. I plan on staying at Sheraton Barra Hotel & Suites in their largest suite rooms.

Day 2

9:00 Check in hotel and settle in room

11:00 Check out pool for a few hours

1:00 Hit up famous Copacabana Beach.

5:30 Have dinner at Porcao. A famous Steakhouse

8:00 Go clubbing at club Baronneti till late and pass out back at the hotel.

Day 3

9:00 I would wake up and have breakfast at the hotel.

11:00 Next activity is shopping at the Botafogo Praia Shopping Centre for the entire day. Botafogo Praia is a large shopping complex that features many international designers.

3:00 I would eat an early dinner at a fine Brazilian restaurant called Madame Butterfly. It is the most sophisticated and expensive Japanese restaurant in Rio. I would also spend some time back and forth at the bar for some time to socialize and meet some new people.

8:00 find a nice movie on television (that’s not in Portuguese) and call it a night

8:00 Clubbing at Fosofobox. A hidden, but very popular underground club.
