research, and in-depth study of a wide variety of books,articles, and videos of Baroque Opera productions during the period of May-August, 2007, as well as attending liveproductions of GIULIO CESARE (Handel) at the Lyric Operaof Chicago, IPHIGENIE EN TAURIDE (Gluck) at the Metropolitan Opera, and L’ISLE DE MERLIN (Gluck) at theSpoleto Festival USA

(b). the Creative component involved devising staging for GIULIOCESARE (Handel), to be produced by ASU Lyric OperaTheatre. This aspect of the project was exceptionally challenging and took approximately 400-500 hours of extensive and detailed work during August-December, 2007.

INTERIM DIRECTOR – LYRIC OPERA THEATRE(April, 2014 – August, 2015)

Responsible for overseeing all Lyric Opera Theatre productions, personnel, budgets, future season planning, coordination with Orchestra and Choral Ensemble faculty for scheduling of student orchestra, instrumental ensemble, and choral components for LOT productions, co-productions with Phoenix Theatre (ANYTHING GOES), and public relations for all Lyric Opera Theatre and Lyric Opera Theatre Outreach (LOOP) activities, (recurring Evelyn Smith Music Theatre flood maintenance), as well as coordinating with the Lyric Opera Theatre Guild on production previews, receptions, and student emergency scholarships.The position also included overseeing all aspects of the Opera/Music Theatre Program including Opera/Music Theatre faculty (both full-time, adjunct faculty_, Opera/Music Theatre curriculum, and various student support issues (academic advising, scholarships, acceptance into the Opera and Music Theater programs, financial assistance), as well as coordinating with faculty from the Voice and Ensemble areas for various School of Music artistic and administrative projects.
