Urgent Message - We Need Your Help!
Improving attendance and punctuality to school needs to be ‘front and centre’ for us all! What happens when your child doesn’t come to school all day every day?
Improving attendance and participation is a major priority for us all in the Driver School Community and a number of changes are being made in relation to ensuring we increase our enrolments, punctuality and attendance rates. As mentioned previously, we have made ground however, there are many students who are absent more than 1 day per week. Let’s all work together to make a difference to all our students!
Our Building the Education Revolution – Primary Schools for the 21st Century Update
1. Great news is that the Kiss and Go area will be finished by the end of term! 2. Our Life Skills shed is awaiting certification approval so we can commence using it to support the farm
SAKG program.

Defence Families Update
Well it has been a busy couple of weeks but I am settling in fast. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting most of your children and we have already started to build a great friendship. I have started running activities at lunchtimes with your children and we are having lots of fun. Please remember the welcome sausage sizzle is on Thursday 2nd June at the school; this is a great opportunity to meet me and also catch up with other defence families at our school. If you can not make it then I look forward to meeting you in the future. I am primarily based at the school in the afternoons. My hours are 1-4 but this is flexible as I also run activities through lunchtimes 3 times a week. I know that my contact time is different to the previous DSTA however I have other commitments and am unable to work in the mornings. This is something that may change in the future. Also, Defence Families of Australia (DFA) are looking for families to participate in their annual survey, simply log onto www.dfa.org.au/survey for more information. Completed surveys will go in a draw to win one of ten, $50 Coles Myer vouchers donated by ADCU.
Feel free to call during my hours or drop me an email anytime on:
