For each symposium day, there is a designated parking garage at the UTSA Main Campus that is located near the symposium venue. NOTE: event locations differ for each day. Thursday, August 2: Parking is available in Tobin Ave./North Garage. Friday, August 3: Parking is available in Bosque St./South Garage. Free parking is available in the Tobin Ave./North Garage located off Margaret Tobin Avenue. A parking attendant will greet you at the entrance to the garage. Please provide your name and state that you are attending the Distinguished Lecture. Your symposium pre-registration (via EventBrite: http://thes2012.eventbrite.com/ ) will ensure that your name will be listed on the parking roster. You will be directed to park on the ground floor of the garage and provided with a campus map, highlighting the Main Building, the site of the lecture. It is a 10-minute walk from the Tobin Ave./North Garage to the Main Building so please allow extra time to park, walk, and receive your registration packet in advance of the lecture’s 6:00 P.M. start time. 1. Take Hwy 37 North to San Antonio. 2. Once you enter San Antonio, take IH-10 West (toward El Paso). 3. Continue on IH-10 West through the city. 4. You will see an exit for the South entrance (UTSA Blvd) to the UTSA campus off of IH-10, but DO

NOT EXIT HERE. 5. Continue on IH-10 and exit on Loop 1604 West. 6. Exit La Cantera Pkwy/Fiesta Texas/Chase Hill Blvd. Drive through the first intersection. 7. At the second light turn left onto Brenan Ave.—you are driving underneath the Loop 1604 overpass. 8. After entering the campus, make an immediate left turn onto Margaret Tobin Avenue. 9. the first intersection. 5. At the second light turn left onto Brenan Ave.—you are driving underneath the Loop 1604 overpass. 6. After entering the campus, make an immediate left turn onto Margaret Tobin Avenue. 7. The Tobin Ave./North Garage will be on your right-hand side. 8. Enter the garage and stop to meet the attendant who will provide a parking permit and campus

Friday, August 3, 2012: Driving and Parking Directions to the Bosque St./South Garage There are four events on Friday, August 3, 2012, for the Fourth Annual Texas Higher Education Symposium:

• Working Groups • Scholarly Presentations • Poster Session • Luncheon with Keynote Speaker

Free parking for these events is available in the Bosque St./South Garage. Do not park in spaces marked “24-Hour Reserved”. When you enter the garage, obtain a parking ticket. Take this ticket to the symposium registration/information table to receive a pre-paid parking card to use when you exit the garage. When exiting the garage, you will swipe the card on the left-hand side of the machine (see green arrow below). The gate will lift.

3. Exit on UTSA Blvd. Make a left at light onto UTSA Blvd. 4. Turn right onto Edward Ximenes Avenue. 5. Turn right at the three-way stop sign. 6. The Bosque St./South Garage will be to your left. 7. When you enter the garage, obtain a parking ticket. Take this ticket and proceed to the University

Center (see Symposium Map). 8. At the symposium registration/information table your parking ticket will be exchanged for a prepaid

parking card to use when you exit the garage.

From Dallas/ Waco/ Austin I-35 Corridor North

1. Take I-35 South. 2. Exit 172 I-35 South to Anderson Loop 1604 West. 3. From Anderson Loop 1604 West take the I-10 East interchange 4. Exit 557 UTSA Blvd from IH-10 East. 5. Make a right at light onto UTSA Blvd. 6. Turn right at traffic light onto Edward Ximenes Avenue. 7. Turn right at the three-way stop sign. 8. The Bosque St./South Garage will be to your left. 9. When you enter the garage, obtain a parking ticket. Take this ticket and proceed to the University

Center (see Symposium Map). 10. At the symposium registration/information table your parking ticket will be exchanged for a prepaid

parking card to use when you exit the garage.

From El Paso/ San Angelo/ Midland IH-10 Corridor West

10. Take IH-10 East towards San Antonio. 11. Exit on UTSA Blvd. Make a right at light onto UTSA Blvd. 12. Turn right onto Edward Ximenes Avenue. 13. Turn right at the three-way stop sign. 14. The Bosque St./South Garage will be to your left. 15. When you enter the garage, obtain a parking ticket. Take this ticket and proceed to the University
