IOTHINGS comes from the experience gained through M2M FORUM, the first ever international M2M+IoT Conference & Expo. M2M forum was launched in 2002 by Innovability and in 15 editions has brought together European players in the Machine-toMachine and Internet of Things space.

IOTHINGS Rome is the fall edition of IOTHINGS, the international event organized by #Innovability dedicated to #IoT and the emerging Digital Transformation of Things. Roman edition hot topics: IoT for Field Services and GDPR / Cybercurity of Things.

There will be three events co-located with IOTHINGS Rome: EMBEDDED IOT, ITALIA5G created to accelerate the growth of an open echo-system for 5G networks and IoMOBILITY FORUM with the new AWARDS ceremony.

IOTHINGS presents a new area dedicated to Field Services and Lone Workers who increasingly see IoT as a primary tool to make more efficient those operating in the field and improve their safety and in harsh environments.

FIELD SERVICES & LONE WORKER

Last roman edition took place on the 21th and 22th November. 1053 participants met 59 sponsor, exhibitor and partner companies at the conferences, at the expo area and at the business meetings. A wide audience, both Italian and international, has attended 13 event sessions listening to 92 speakers and appreciating the quality of the topics exposed.

In a market like that of the IoT, which constantly offers news and new business opportunities, it was necessary to combine a spring edition with an autumn edition, giving each one a specialization in application areas and targets of users. IOTHINGS Rome has a strong focus on IoT applications for large energy networks, mobility, telecommunications, critical infrastructures, monitoring, protection and security of the territory.

This area includes all the technological companies and business models in the panorama of the Internet of Things and its solutions, with particular attention to the main challenges for the development of the market.

This session examines the various security aspects affecting an IoT project, starting from how to guarantee the protection of connections, but also and above all, how to guarantee the integrity, confidentiality and availability of data at each stage of the project life cycle.

EMBEDDED IOT is the area of IOTHINGS addressed to R&D managers, electronic designers and firmware developers, who can access, in a single event, a formidable technological update having the entire chain of IoT represented.

The IoMOBILITY (Internet of Mobility) project was created for the new OTT Over-The Top of mobility that focus on travelers and people instead of the mean to create a seamless Mobility Experience (MX). IoM takes place in spring in Milan and autumn in Rome and focuses on new services enabled by digital, for user categories such asfamilies, young people, professionals and seniors. New 2019: during the Rome edition will be rewarded the winners of the new IoMOBILITY AWARDS.

It is the first Italian event intended to promote the development of innovative projects enabled by 5G technology, in order to accelerate the digital transformation within the national economic system.
