What is DEA 360?A comprehensive approach tackling the cycle of violence and addiction generated by the link between drug cartels, violent gangs, and the rising problem of prescription opioid and heroin abuse in U.S. cities.

DEA 360 involves:• Coordinated Law Enforcement operations targeting alllevels of drug trafficking organizations and violent gangs supplying drugs to our neighborhoods• Engaging drug manufacturers, wholesalers, practitioners,and pharmacists through Diversion Control to increase awareness of the opioid epidemic and encourage responsible prescribing practices, and use of opioid painkillers throughout the medical community• Community Outreach and partnership with localorganizations following enforcement operations, equipping and empowering communities to fight the opioid epidemic

Services: Alateen is a support group to help young people, usually teenagers, recover from the effects of someone else’s drinking.

Hours: There are Alateen meetings all around the Miami Valley. See Website or call for a list of meeting locations.

Eligibility: Anyone who is troubled by or whose life has been affected by someone else’s drinking.

Services: Daybreak changes lives and creates new futures for homeless, at-risk, and troubled youth ages 10 to 24 in the Dayton region. Daybreak serves youth and young adults in crisis through emergency shelter, transitional housing, street outreach, and employment services. Daybreak is the region’s only housing program designed to move homeless youth ages 18 to 24 out of homelessness, poverty, under-education, and crisis and into housing, financial independence, educational achievement, and self-sufficiency.

Hours: 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Youth may reach Daybreak via the 24-hour crisis hotline.

Eligibility: Emergency Shelter – any troubled, at-risk or homeless youth between the ages of 10 and 19 are eligible to stay in the emergency shelter unless they have a known history of repeated or extreme violence or sexual offenses. Street Outreach – any troubled, at-risk or homeless youth up to age 24 may visit the Street Outreach Center for food, necessities and assistance in finding a safe play to live. Transitional Housing – Must be referred by the Daybreak’s emergency shelter, street outreach program, or another Montgomery County approved emergency shelter.

Services: Children & Adolescent Outpatient Services: Provides counseling and community supportive services to both children and their families who experience trauma, behavioral, mental, emotional, and/or substance abuse issues related to their everyday living. Eligibility: Elementary school-aged boys who are victims of trauma (physical, sexual, or emotional

abuse; neglect; witnessed the abuse of family members, etc.).

Services: Licensed as a mental health program, the Webster Street Academy and Family Center provides mental health needs assessments, treatment recommendations, and a plan that addresses these identified needs; educational curriculum; social skills training; coping skills training; community psychiatric supportive treatment; and psychiatric services. Students attending the Webster Street Academy remain actively enrolled in their current school, are generally able to participate in after school functions, and are awarded credit for the completion of academic work with the ultimate goal being the student’s successful re-integration to their home school.

Services: A specialized intervention/prevention program designed to keep non-adjudicated youth under the age of ten from penetrating further into the juvenile justice system. The program addresses dependency, abuse, and neglect issues; delinquent and unruly behaviors; and mental health issues. Services include: counseling, anger management, specialized diagnostic assessments, and case management.

Hours: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Eligibility: Youth ages ten and younger who have been referred to Juvenile Court for allegedly being unruly or having committed serious felony offenses are eligible to participate. Youth without charges (walk-ins) can also be served by the program.

Services: Assertive Community Treatment (ACT): Provides an intensive team-based, person centered recovery approach. ACT is for individuals who have the most serious symptoms of severe mental illness/ substance abuse and who, consequently, have the greatest difficulty with basic daily activities.

CAMI: Chemically Addicted Mental Illness services. The care is 16 to 18 weeks with weekly follow up sessions designed to provide long term recovery support. The interventions outlined in the treatment plan are oriented towards recover, abstinence, maintenance, and stabilization. Persons receive individual and group counseling related to substance abuse and mental illness, in addition to receiving Med somatic (psychiatric medication) services from a physician, if needed. (Also offered at Focus Care location.)

Services: Multiple therapeutic interventions that promote mental health stabilization and support for their substance use disorders, and development of harm reduction skills. Services: Advocates for alcohol, tobacco, and other drug issues. Some of their programs include: The G.A.P. Network of family engagement advocacy groups and individuals seek to end the crisis of substance abuse, specifically prescription medication and opiate abuse, in all Ohio communities. The G.A.P. Network can provide information, education, advocacy, networking, training and support to make your local efforts more effective.

Know! drug prevention and awareness program empowers parents of middle school students to raise their children substance free. Sign up for Know! Parent Tips.

Ohio Youth Led Prevention Network is a joint-venture between the Drug Free Action Alliance and the Ohio Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services. Together, they build and expand partnerships between youth-led substance abuse prevention programs that develop and strengthen abuse prevention efforts at the state and local levels.

Buzzkill is a program to help colleges educate their students on the responsibilities of social hosting and the deterrence of underage drinking.

Parents Who Host, Lose the Most is a public awareness campaign to educate parents about the health and safety risks of serving alcohol at teen parties. This program encourages parents and the ENTIRE community to send a unified message that teen alcohol consumption is unhealthy, unsafe and unacceptable.

Drug Free 24/7 is a social marketing campaign of prevention messages for communities, schools, and organizations that promote drug-free lifestyles and facilitate the expectation of living drug free 24/7.

Services are provided primarily in group format; however, individuals may also receive individual/family counseling, case management, drug screenings, and pharmacotherapy.

CAMI: Chemically Addicted Mental Illness services. The care is 16 to 18 weeks with weekly follow up sessions designed to provide long term recovery support. The interventions outlined in the treatment plan are oriented towards recover, abstinence, maintenance, and stabilization. Persons receive individual and group counseling related to substance abuse and mental illness, in addition to receiving Med somatic (psychiatric medication) services from a physician, if needed. Children & Adolescent Outpatient Services: Provides counseling and community supportive services to both children and their families who experience trauma, behavioral, mental or emotional and/or substance abuse issues related to their everyday living.

SAMI: Substance Abuse and Mental Illness services. Designed for SMD/non-SMD persons struggling with substance abuse and mental health issues. This is a voluntary, short-term program for person 18 years of age and older. The SAMI program offers both group and individual counseling, community support, and psychiatric services. Sojourner Program for Women: Clinicians provide a variety of services to assist women with developing a life free from substance abuse and regaining custody of their children. The average length of stay for the program is 14-23 months.
