Assess factors contributing to activity intolerance: Fatigue Anemia Fluid and electrolyte imbalances. Retention of waste products. Depression Rationale- Indicates factors contributing to severity of fatigue to note for the cause of the problem.

2. Promote independence in self-care activities as tolerated. Assist patient and supervise. Rationale- Promote returning of strength and improve self-esteem.

3. Encourage alternating rest and activity. Rationale- Promotes activity and exercise within limits and adequate rest.
