Data Gathering Panels

Data Gathering Panels (DGP) are used to expandthe number of alarm inputs on the system andallow inputs and relays to be connected at alocation remote from the Advisor MASTER panel.DGPs communicate via poll & reply messagesand send alarms to the control panel forprocessing. The DGPs collect information fromdetectors, door contacts and other similardevices. There are DGPs available forconventional devices, wireless devices as well asfor intelligent addressable devices. This specialDGP, also called 4-Door controller, is available forcollecting the information for four doors.

Product Overview

The ATS1251 4-Door controller is a versatileaccess control panel to extend the AdvisorMASTER system with advanced access controlfunctions. Real time alarm and access control on4 doors, with power supply and housing. A total oftwelve 4-Door controllers can be connected to anAdvisor Master panel. To program the controllersa user interface with liquid crystal display must beincluded in the system.

Extensive programming features

Can be used to program a sequence of uniqueevents for a desired outcome (macro logic). Forexample when a user badges a card or selects afloor, lights in the area can be programmed to turnon or a macro can activate a light on a map at asecurity desk to indicate a floor has beenaccessed.

Connectivity

A total of twelve 4-Door controllers can beconnected to an Advisor Master panel. Toprogram the controllers a user interface with liquidcrystal display must be included in the system.

Communications

The controllers can be mounted up to1.5 km from the Advisor Masterpanel, which will continuously checkif the controller is still on line. 4-doorcontrollers and the 4-lift controllerscan operate off-line with nodegradation in performances, shouldcommunication with the AdvisorMaster panel fail.

Users

The 4-Door controllers and the Liftcontrollers are using the userinformation from the Advisor Masterpanel. The number of card users is11466. 1000 users can beprogrammed with a PIN code andwith a name.

Access control procedures

Access control procedures likeswiping a card or entering a PIN, canbe programmed to function onlywithin particular blocks of time oroutside those times. For example,during a period deemed as a highsecurity risk, granting access mayrequire a PIN and card to bepresented at reader. At another timeof low security risk, access to thesame area may be gained with onlythe presentation of a card.

Door groups

The 4-Door controller is also usingthe door groups from the AdvisorMaster panel. Standard there are128 door groups available.

Timezones and holidays

The controllers can use one or moreof the 24 free programmable timezones and 24 holiday slots.

Inputs

The ATS1251 has eight 4-statemonitored inputs on board. On the4-door controller, by default 8 inputsare assigned to Request to Exitbuttons and door contacts, but theycan also be re-programmed asregular inputs.
