Issue:There is a DSO Activation Error. This often occurs in a Process Chain where DSO Activation is included. The error in the Process Chain log is "Fatal error occured while starting dialog process 123." In the example below this occured in dialog process # 7. "Fatal error occured while starting dialog process 000007."

Cause:1) In transaction RSODSO_SETTINGS choose 'Datastore Specific' and enter the DSO that is being activated.

2) Click 'Parameters for Actviation'.

3) In the section 'Parallel Processing' the flag "Dialog" is set!

Solution:This issue occurs because there were no DIA processes available to process the data activation. In NW04s the process handling was redesigned. From now on most of the

operations like the activation of data, the data load, etc. will use batch processes instead of dialog processes.

To solve the issue change the flag in 'Parameters fior Activation' -> 'Settings for Parallel Processing' from Dialog to Background activation.
