Accreditation Requirements
1. Legal responsibility The accreditation body (AB) shall be a
registered legal entity2 Structure AB shall have a description of its legal status
including the names of its owners, if applicable. AB shall identify the top management
responsible for developing policies; supervision of the implementation of policies and procedures; making decisions on accreditation etc.

3. Impartiality
All AB personnel and committees shall be free from any undue commercial, financial and undue pressure that could compromise objectivity and impartiality of accreditation.
The AB shall ensure effective involvement of

4. Decision on Accreditation
AB shall ensure that each decision on accreditation is taken by competent persons or committees different from those who carried out the assessment

5. No conflict of interest The AB shall not provide any service that will
affect its impartiality such as those conformity assessment services that CABs perform nor can it offer consultancy on conformity assessment.
6. Confidentiality The AB shall safeguard confidentiality of
information obtained in the process of accreditation.
7. Liability and financing The AB shall have the resources to cover its
operations.

8. Internal Audits
The AB shall establish and perform internal audits of its accreditation processes at least
once a year. Results of audits are reviewed by top management.
9. Human resources
AB shall have sufficient number of competent personnel. AB shall conduct monitoring of the performance of its personnel.
