  • Description:

The DTSS (Desert Tactical Sound Suppressor) was designed to enhance accuracy, repeatability, and minimize impact shift between suppressed and unsuppressed fire. Testing shows consistent accuracy improvement of nearly 0.25 MOA when shooting with DTSS installed. In testing the DTSS showed vertical impact shift of less than 2 MOA on all units tested between suppressed and unsuppressed firing (titanium model).

The silencer’s lightweight design and full titanium construction make the DTSS (Desert Tactical Sound Suppressor) the lightest .338 or .30 caliber silencers on the planet. It weighs only 1.15 lb. (titanium model only)!

The DTSS conveniently installs over the SRS-QD Brake. A patent-pending baffle design tightens the silencer as gases impact the baffles and prevents the silencer from loosening during high vol-ume fire. Many competitors use a ratcheting lock to prevent their cans from loosening. Distance between ratchet teeth allows a minor play even when tightened, which will degrade accuracy.

The DTSS are available in .30 and .338 Caliber options in both stainless steel and titanium and provides a patent pending high-to-low compatibility feature that allows the .338 caliber silencer to attach to both .338 and .30 caliber muzzle brakes and prevents the .30 caliber silencer from ac-cidently being installed on a .338 caliber muzzle brake.

Removal:Warning: Make sure weapon is unloaded and safe (Refer to your weapons Operators Manual for weapon safety features and handling instructions). Warning: Suppressor temperature can reach above 1000 degrees in only a few shots. Direct contact with skin and the suppressor during this time will result in serious injury. Allow time to cool before handling.

-Warning: Make sure weapon is unloaded and safe (Refer to your weapons Operators Manual for weapon safety features and handling instructions).

    Installation:

    2. Once the DTSS is screwed to the QD brake lip, firmly tighten suppressor with both hands.

    1. After the DTSS has cooled to the touch but still remains warm, firmly grip suppressor, securely fastening rifle, and twist counter clockwise. Note: Allowing the DTSS time to fully cool may result in difficulty removing it.

    2. After the DTSS has been completely unscrewed, slide it off of the DTA SRS QD Brake.

    1. With the DTA SRS DQ Brake attached to the rifle barrel, gently insert the DTSS on to the brake and carefully screw clockwise till the DTSS is touching the lower lip of the SRS QD Brake.
