Easy access for service and cleaning

DTV and DTH fans can be opened easily for cleaning and maintaining the fan, duct and duct system.

Usage EXHAUSTO wall and roof ventilation extractor fans are used in comfort systems and in industry, where low energy consumption, low noise levels, low running costs and reliability are required. The 3 product families are manufactured in cast aluminum, ensuring long-term, problem-free operation.

DTV and DTH are vertical and horizontal discharge extractor fans, respectively. The fan can be opened up making it easier to clean the impeller and to access the duct system.

WR is a wall extraction fan with radial discharge – a simple and dependable wall installation when installed with the MGO wall duct.

- effective ventilation to suit every solution

High effi ciencyThe specially designed centrifugal impellers with backward-bent blades are highly effi cient and have low running costs.

Vertical exhaustDTV prevents dirt accumu-lating on the roof surface and the downdraught of polluted air. And is less noisy.

Robust designDTV, DTH and VVR fans are manu-factured in cast aluminum that is extremely corrosion resistant.

The design offers optimum ventila-tion with minimum noise, even for large volumes of air.

SafetyA rust-free safety net covers the centrifugal impeller.Optional safety wire is available for DTH fans for when the installation is exposed or when there is a risk of vandalism.

Very reliableDirect operation of roof and wall fans is a very reliable operating method.

Wide range of use.DTV, DTH and VVR fans are ideal for ventilation tasks where effectiveness and low running costs are required.

The three product families are available in all sizes with adjustable variable motors.

InstallationDTV fans are designed for use with TGK roof ducts, for simple and optimal installation. DTH fans can be used with TGR and TGK ducts.

TGR and TGK roof ducts have a built-in cable duct and anti-back draught AOR and are repair circuit breaker ready. TGR and TGK roof ducts are available with 3 standard length fl ashings, depending on noise attenuation and roof pitch requirements.

TGR and TGK roof ducts are available with fl ashing to fi t required pitch.

Choice of motor

It is important to match the motor to the right size of roof or wall fan. At the same time it is recommended the ventilation unit be on-demand controlled.

EXHAUSTO roof (DTV and DTH) and wall (VVR) fans' motors are directly connec-ted to the centrifugal impeller and the motor is mounted outside the air stream.

• There are two types of DTV roof fan motors available: single-phase (4-1) or with frequency converter (FC)

• DTH roof fans are delivered with a single-phase motor (4-pole)• VVR wall fans are delivered with a single-phase motor (4-pole)• Motor enclosure is thermal class IP54 and all materials are at least thermal class

F (155 °C)• Every motor has built-in excessive current protection

General technical specifi cations Motor DTV/DTH/VVR

The FC motor for a DTV roof fan is a three-phase motor with a fi tted frequency converter with 1 x 230 V connection. The frequency converter is specially develo-ped for compatibility with the EXHAUSTO DTV roof fan and, when used with this motor, ensures the lowest possible operating costs.

The frequency converter protects the motor from overloading, blocking, over and under voltage, and over heating. The frequency converter is factory programmed by EXHAUSTO for optimal operation of DTV fans. It only has to be connected to a 1 X 230 VAC supply and to an EXHAUSTO automatic EFC1P, MAC10 or a MAC 11 controller. Descriptions of the controllers and their functions are on the back page.

Advantages• An energy saving motor with on-demand control• A very stable rpm unaffected by wind conditions or short term changes in

the system• It can be manually adjusted (linear scale from 0 - 10) via an EFC1P control panel with circuit breaker.• For automatic operation it can be connected to a MAC10 or a MAC11• A market tested and reputable product incorporating new technology

FC-motor technical specifi cations Motor DTV

The single-phase motors can be used with DTV, DTH and VVR roof fans

All types are 4-pole 1400 rpm and can be voltage regulated using EXHAUSTO EFC15, EFC35 and MAC10 with the add on module MAC10MPR.

Equations and calculations for sound data

The fans must be installed with sound attenuators in the duct system in accordance with the sound requirements of the venti-lated premises.

To meet current standards the duct system should be insulated for sound, thermal loss and condensation.

Sound output levels are used as the basis for calculating the sound pressure level in the operational area of the unit, and the level of silencing required in the duct system itself.

KW: Correction factor for calculating sound output in the first octave band.

KWA: Correction factor for calculating A-weighted sound output.

KpA: Correction factor for calculating A-weighted sound pressure.

LW: Sound output level dB - Reference 1 pW - Tolerance: 63 dB.

I: Upper operating area.

II: Lower operating area.

LW1: Sound output level for extractor channel LW1 = LWA1 + KW LWA1 can be read from the curve diagram.

LW3: Sound output level to surroundings LW3 = LWA1 + KW LWA1 can be read from the curve diagram.

LWA3:A-weighted sound output to the surroundings LWA3 = LWA1 + KWA LWA1 can be read from the curve diagram.

LpA3: Sound pressure level dB(A) at a distance of 10 metres from hemi-spherical sound dissipation in free field and with insulated connection ducts. LWA1 read as - LpA3 = LWA1 + KpA, sound pressure level at 20 meters distance: LpA3 (20 m) = LpA3 (10 m) - 6 dB.

EXHAUSTO DTV, DTH and VVR fans are measured with a straight pipe (length 3 x diameter) immediately before the fan. A system pressure loss can occur if the minimum distance is not maintained during installation and this should be taken into consideration during project planning. The size of loss can be calculated from the relevant technical literature.

EXHAUSTO DTV, DTH and VVR fans are measured with a pipe that has the same dimensions as the fan’s spigot. Apart from the DTV450-4-1FC fan, which is measured with a pipe with diameter of 500.

The stated operation curves show the characteristic of the fan with downwards regulation.

The SFP curves show the specific electricity used in J/m3 ventilated air volume through the fan.

Controllers and accessories guide

Electronic speed regulator for FC motors, uses 0 -10 V control signal. Used for manual variable rpm control for all EXHAUSTO fans installed with FC motors.

The EPC1P can variably adjust the rpm between 25-100% of the max. rpm.

Speed regulator for FC motors

EXHAUSTO electronic regulators EFC are designed to variable control the speed of EXHAUSTO fans. The EFC controller can variably adjust the motor's rpm and in this fashion adjust the fan's capacity (25-100% of full capacity). The controller's built-in potentiometer can set a minimum current / minimum air fl ow.The EFC speed controller has radio noise suppression, is DEMKO approved and CE certifi ed. EFC controllers are available in four sizes and in different types.

Speed controller

EXHAUSTO constant pressure controllers MAC10 and MAC11 (Multi Application Controller) are microprocessor based controllers, designed to control the pressure of motor driven fans that are fi tted with FC frequency converters. For single-phase motors use the MAC10 with the MAC10MPR add on module.MAC11 is available with LonWorks® – a communication platform for DDC units and for connecting outside air temperature sensors for use with outside air temperature compensation.

EXHAUSTO MGO wall ducts are galvanised with 25 mm mineral wool inner lining to insulate against sound and condensation.

They also have build in anti-back draught shutters (AO) which close when the fans are not running and prevent back draughts into the ventilation ducts or locality. The dimension lengths of MGO ducts vary from 210 - 350 mm to cater for different wall thicknesses.

Wall ducts for VVR fans MGO

EXHAUSTO TGR (round) and TGK (square) roof ducts are specially designed (operationally and architecturally) for use with EXHAUSTO roof fans.

The roof ducts achieve optimal sound attenuation with very little pressure drop. The roof fan is mounted directly on top of the roof duct. An EXHAUSTO FLD diffuser can be mounted on the bottom, or the duct can connect to the duct system via a spiro tube.

This optimal solution achieves minimal pressure drop and a low noise level even with large air volumes. TGR and TGK ducts come with anti-back draught shutters AOR as standard. EXHAUSTO TGR and TGK roof ducts are available in six sizes and three different lengths, with fl ashing to suit roof pitch.
