Thank you to all students, staff and families for a great Term.
In this edition you will see many of the successful events that have taken place over the past fortnight.
These include:
Victory for South Campus in the Serisier Cup
A successful Clontarf excursion to Sydney to com-pete in the Ross Kelly Cup
Miss Ryan’s sports class travelled to visit the Aus-tralian Institute of Sport in Canberra
CHS athletes who competed in Sydney
A very successful week of textile workshops have been held.
It has pleasing for me to also hear of the continuing suc-cess of Jade Ledsham in qualifying for the Australian Na-tional Titles in Tae Kwon Do. Her Dubbo team came first in the demonstration section and Jade came 4
th in Point
Sparing.
Tara Williamson has also been selected in the Riverina Schools Band Tour. The trip in early November will take
her to Wagga Wagga, Young and Griffith. A great reward for all of her efforts with practice and performance.
Some exciting end of term activities have also been planned for this week. Our Year 10 students and the SRC are busy organising a Dancing with the Staff fund-raiser. This will take place today as a part of the last day of term activities.
Just a reminder also that in Term Four there is no School Development Day. Term Four commences on Tuesday 7 October following the long weekend.
I would like to encourage as many parents as possible to come along to our next P&C meeting which will be held on Monday 13 October. It will commence at 7.30pm in the Library.

Ms J Marshall CAPA FACHEAD TEACHER
Congratulations to Dubbo College South Campus student Tristan Delaney, who received the "Most Improved Player" award in the Dubbo Touch 2014 Winter competition.
SPORT REPORT
From 4 to 6 September, students from all over NSW rep-resented their regions at CHS athletics.
Seven students from South Campus were representatives for Western Region. They were Blake Greaves, Hannah Bass, Ava Medley, Busta Nelson, Amelia Prince, Gabriel-le Magner-Pollard and Ned Randall.
All students are to be commended on their efforts at State Athletics. The competition is very competitive and pro-vides students with a great opportunity and experience. Many students whilst not placing came away with PB’s so they should be incredibly proud of themselves.
On the 7 September, the inaugural Dubbo Stampede was held at Taronga Western Plains Zoo! It was great to see so many staff and students out there participating! We had students and staff alike gain PB’s and we even had some placing in the top 3 of their age! Sam Bass came 3
rd in his age group for the 10km. Mr O’Connor from the
English department also came 3rd
in his age group as well! There were many other amazing times ran during the day from staff and students alike at Dubbo College South Campus and I want to thank EVERYBODY who participated on the day! Whilst we didn’t win the schools challenge this year there is always next year and hopeful-ly my nagging you to participate will pay off!
Congratulations: Connor Singh (1st), James Tucker
(2nd
) and Lucas Blattman (3rd
), for their outstanding effort in school sport this term. Special mention goes to Lauren Cook, Savannah Shelley and Milla Ross.
School sport has been going great, thanks to the awe-some PDHPE staff and remember with the warmer weath-er coming up it would be a good idea to bring your drink bottles and hats to school! Next term we will be offering swimming as a sport choice some mornings so keep that in mind when you do your sport choices next term!
Have a great holiday! Miss Ryan
Sports Coordinator

Feel like a laugh …………………………... The little boy wasn't getting good marks in school. One day he made the teacher quite surprised. He tapped her on the shoulder and said ..."I don't want to scare you, but my daddy says if I don't get better grades, somebody is going to get a spanking."
Teacher: Why have you got cotton wool in your ears, do you have an infection? Pupil: Well you keep saying that things go in one ear and out the other so I am trying to keep them it all in!
Teacher: If I had ten apples in my right hand and nine in my left, what would I have? Student: Huge hands!
Teacher: Billy, your essay on "My Dog" is exactly the same as your brother's. Did you copy it? Billy: No, Mrs. White. It's the same dog!
