Protecting

3. How will your bird protect itself from the changes in weather conditions?

To protect it’s self my bird will have a home in a tall tree and a home in the water to choose from.

Body covering

4. What type of body covering or coverings will your bird have? Why?

 

a. covering #1: Feathers that spurt water out of its wings.

purpose: To keep it cool because it is hot on the planet.

b. covering #2 Web feet alert it from predators and poisonous plants.

purpose: To protect it from things that will hurt it.

c. covering #3:My duck will have 3 eyes.

purpose: To help look for poisonous plants.

5. What type of feet, wings, or other movement adaption does your bird need in order to move around the planet?

Why?

My duck has some hair that shoots water like the wings. This is so it never gets dehydrated.

Eyes

6. What type of eyes will your bird have?

Why?

My duck has 3 eyes that can see twice as far as humans, these 3 eyes are blue. This is so it can see anything coming at it.

Getting Food

7. What type of food will your bird eat on this planet?

On my planet my duck will eat fish, fruit and nuts.

8. Therefore, what type of beak will it have?

Therefore it will have a beak that goes strait out then has a hump that leads to a pointed end.

Getting Water

9. What special adaptations will your bird have to get water?

My bird will have little dots that suck up water in its wings. To get water for drinking, it has a certain shaped beak that helps it.

My bird will build a shelter high in the tall trees of the Rainforest with twigs.

My bird will have little green stripes to help it camouflage with the environment.

11. What are the predators that might harm your bird?

The predators that might harm my bird are snakes and monkeys.

To protect itself my bird will fly away or shoot them with water from its wings or hair.

My bird has different colors to confuse the predators and make them think she is poisonous so they go away.

14. What components will your plant have?

Why?

a. Stem #1: Has spikes on it.

purpose: To help protect it.

b. Flower #2: Has holes in the middle of it for air.

purpose: To help make food.

c. Leaves #3:Has spikes on it.

purpose: To help protect it.

purpose: To help protect it.

Plant Adaptation Summary

15. What type of roots will your plant need?

Why?

My plant has medium, and short roots with little holes in them to pick up water. This is so it can stay hydrated, and have extra ingredient's for it’s food.

16. How will your plant make its own food (Photosynthesis)?

My plant will take sun, water, air, and 1 leaf to make a sugarish tasting liquid.

17. How will your plant disperse its seeds?

One day every week my plant will grow a hole on one of its leaves and a big chunk of seeds will fall out. After that is done it has a light line that out lines wear the hole was.

18. What special adaptations will your plant have to get water?

To get water my plant has a long root that connects to one of the pools, also my bird goes and sprays it with water every day.

19. What are the consumers that might eat your plant?

The animals that might eat my plant are grass snakes, insects, and birds (not my bird).

20. What is the most unique adaptation that your plant has?

My plants unique adaptation is that its petals change different colors when it wants them to, this comes in handy with predators.
