This week lets just focus in more detail on the settings. Remember to use the check list: Start with capital letter. Add powerful adjectives. Connectives, because, so, also, but. Joined up handwriting, neat. Read it through does it make sense. Read your favourite book or from the book you are reading, draw a picture of the setting in your story. Now draw a picture of a new setting for your story and write a few sentences to describe it. You could use the grid below. Practise your subtraction. When did you last say something positive about yourself, have something healthy to eat or drink and have a good night’s sleep? Make a poster or drawing of the things you do to look after yourself.

Volcano Experiment Materials:

Dirt or wet sand Small shovel or spoon Two teaspoons baking soda White vinegar Directions: Build a mound of dirt ten inches

high. Dig a deep hole in the middle of

the mound with a small shovel. Put two teaspoons of baking soda

in the hole. Then slowly pour in vinegar and

watch your volcano erupt!
