Annual Meeting The Annual Meeting was held virtually on Sunday, January 17, 2021.

along with a picture of their dog. These pictures were presented in a
slide show during the meeting and will be available on the Oriole
website.
Help is needed for the AKC Agility Trial to be held January 29-31, you
may contact Nancy Morris, Trial Chair at [email protected]. Even if you
can only volunteer for a few hours, your help would be appreciated.
Oriole Events continue to follow our COVID 19 policies.
Awards for 2020 will be presented next year; however, we would like to
acknowledge your accomplishments here in this issue of the Dumbbell –

Shout-Outs!
Tiiu Mayer reports - Wei-wei and I have recently earned new titles in AKC: MXS, MJS
MFS. We also qualified for AKC Nationals in March 2021 in Oklahoma and hope it will not be
cancelled because of the pandemic. He qualified for AKC Nationals last year and the event was
cancelled.
Tiiu Mayer reports - her new pup, Carson, passed his first class at Oriole this fall,
Fundamentals for Sports.
Sara Tagget with Lucy earned 4 qualifying runs in CAT and her CA title (this is lure coursing, small
dogs run 300 yds) and Desi earned 4 qualifying runs in CAT and her CAX title (that’s 25 runs). She also
earned 1st place for Advanced Containers and Advanced Interior!
Sally Josselyn with Baru's has earned his Gamblers Champion - Platinum (GCH-Platinum)
and he also earned his Agility Dog Champion - Platinum (ADCH-Platinum) title.
Elaine O’Carroll reports - It was difficult to accomplish because of all the trial cancellations,
but Brodie finished his OTCH 3 on January 2, 2021. This was after finishing his MACH 4 in
November and qualifying for the Top 20 at the National Obedience Championship in FL in
December.
Michele Long reports - Bennie achieved his AKC Intermediate Tricks Title (TKI) on 12/22! My
little man loves doing the tricks and of course, the treats!

New Puppies or New To You r
If you have a new puppy (8 weeks – 1 year) submit pictures so that others may enjoy some puppy cuteness!
Kirsti LaVoy has a new pup, her name is Reika, her birthday is 6/16/2020. Yes, she’s an
Alaskan Malamute. She came from Belarus and I hope to show her in conformation and we’ll see
how she likes other sports like Rally and Agility. I’m also hoping she likes sledding and other
dog-powered sports, as that’s our main interest with the dogs, but we’ll have to wait a while to see
if she likes that as much as the others.
