Architects only use building materials they can rely on, so it’s a good thing that TÜV-tested wall coverings are now available. There are no better places to test how much a wall covering can withstand than stairwells, hallways or corridors, where constant impact, from transporting items for example, is the order of day.

Environmental awareness is extremely important in interior design. After all, our environment starts right where we work, eat, play and sleep. Systexx wall and ceiling coverings are proven to be as harmless to our health as baby clothing is to our skin, having undergone 5 health-related tests run by the TÜV NORD and the Öko-Tex-Institut. They are ideal for decorating areas subject to high demands on hygiene, where a covering which is easy to clean will out-perform standard wall coverings.
01
FROM DOCTORS’ SURGERIES TO OPERATING THEATRES
Even in highly sensitive areas, the joins in tiled walls can be exploited by bacteria,
but Systexx has a completely sealed surface which, when combined with 2k coatings,
can withstand repeated scrubbing and wiping with strong disinfectants.
02
FROM BAKERIES TO ABATTOIRS
As a food-safe and particularly easy-clean* wall covering, Systexx is an economical
compromise between tiles and bare walls.
03
FROM HOSPITALS TO RETIREMENT HOMES
Since it contains no hazardous agents and is even suitable for allergy sufferers,
Systexx ensures more than just a cosy design in hospitals and retirement homes.

THE IDEAL COMPROMISE
In food-processing businesses such as abattoirs or bakeries, tiles are often the only – albeit expensive – alternative to bare walls. This is where Systexx wall coverings represent a feasible compromise.
Even when it is being applied to the wall, Systexx by Vitrulan ensures savings of up to 30% in time and money by dispensing with several steps. But the real cost benefi t is provided in the long term: although lining fabric and PVC wallpaper are cheaper at the outset, they need to be renewed every 2–5 years if exposed to high levels of stress. With a long lifespan, lengthy renovation intervals and low maintenance costs, Systexx pays off in the long term. This is what makes this innovative wall covering system such an ideal solution for schools and other public buildings, for example.
WHAT COSTS ARE ASSOCIATED WITH WALL COVERINGS IN THE LONG TERM?
>
FEASIBILITYThere are plenty of wall coverings available for commercial buildings. But only one that truly pays off in the long term.
LINING FABRIC
SYSTEXX
WALLPAPER
PVC WALLPAPER
SYSTEXX wall coverings need only to be moistened with water for them to adhere fully to the wall. For painters and decorators, this means they can work faster, benefi tting from higher added value and an improved fi nancial result.Innovative aqua technology makes it possible to cover an area of up to 25 sqm an hour, while Vitrulan’s Aqua Quick device has been specially developed to ensure that Systexx wall coverings are moistened swiftly and easily. Since the paste is pre-applied consistently and in the right quantities, there is no longer a danger of bubbles or lumps forming under the wall covering because of incorrect or inconsistent application.
EXCLUSIVE BENEFIT
The coverings come coated with water-activated paste, saving an entire working step as well as preparation time and potential quality problems.
AQUA QUICK DEVICE
This specially-developed water
application device swiftly and easily
activates the integrated glue:
1. Pour tap water into the tray.
2. Pull the lengths through the machine.
