DSU News
Halloween Candy Giveback We love Halloween but we also love to empower children to share their
abundance with American Troops serving overseas. Every year DSU does the unthinkable asking children and adults to give up their unwanted candy to Cape Cod Cares for Troops to send to servicemen and women overseas! Duxbury has responded in very generous ways, parting with over 1200 pounds of candy since we started four years ago. Bring your unwanted wrapped candy to DSU (12noon-6:00pm) or the Kingsbury Club any day November 1st
through November 18th and bring sweet treats of gratitude to those serving our country aboard. Please note: DSU closes at 4:00pm on Monday, October 31st so
families can enjoy Halloween activities.
Rock The Vote Camp is Tuesday, November 8th from 9am-5pm. Our campers will be informed future voters learning about the voting process and the issues for MA. We'll also be swimming, enjoying pizza lunch and doing a ton of fun patriotic activities. Camp is 9am-5pm and early birds are welcome to attend for breakfast
at 8am. Click here to sign up.

First Chapter Friday
Grade 6 November 4th during lunch
Bring a bag lunch with you to the library on Friday, November
4th to learn about the exciting, new books available. Dessert

What do we do at FCF?
We talk about books, trends in writing, and what is new in the
school library. FCF is a great way to spend your 6th grade lunch
period with others
who like reading.
Because we only have the lunch block, please bring your lunch
to school that day and come right to the library at the bell.
We will be in the Library Conference Room - C302.
6th graders, the program is free,
but you MUST register in the library.
Space limited to 30 students.
Email Mrs. Potash [email protected]
if you have any questions.
Duxbury Public Schools Family Directory 2016-17 version available soon
The Duxbury Public Schools Family Directory will be generated this year in print and online formats –
listing contact information for all families within the Duxbury Public School District.
The Directory provides street address(es), phone listing(s), and email address for students within the School District. The bi-annually printed paper directory will be available in November.
If you want a printed copy, order now, as a limited number will be printed.
Consider going paperless! There is a wonderful option for parents who like the ease of an online Directory on their phones: an online option that has mobile apps (both iPhone and Android available), tablet and computer access!
The online directory is so convenient – in your pocket all the time!
The Family Directory is available to pre-order for $20 for either paper or one-year online access. Families can choose to purchase both paper and online formats for a discounted combo price of $35.
SPECIAL! If you order the online version, we’ll grant you access to the current database until the update is available later this fall.
