About MeAs a third-year Health Education teacher at Ganesha High School in Pomona, California I have found that Technology is a useful tool in the learning process.

With a Masters Degree from Azusa Pacific University in Educational Technology I plan on continuing my use of technology in my classroom teachings.

This project is one of what I hope will be the beginning of many more activities for our students to use in today’s technologically advanced world.

Lesson Evaluation

• Students showed a 31% improvement from their Pre-Test scores. On average, their scores improved from 7 to 9 points.

• There were no “Failures”.

• The interactivity of the lesson proved positive that technology and using the Internet helped to improve

their test scores.

Revisions to Lesson

• Add more informative “links”.

• Lower the amount of text for our “Visual Learners.”

• Add additional Graphics/Animation and Interactivity for

future sites.

What I have Learned

• Web-based activities are effective tools for our student learning.

• Preparation for just one lesson can be time-consuming at first, but the positive results are well worth it.

• We should be doing more activities like these for our students.

Final Reflections

There’s more to come...

• My future plans are to create additional sites for my Health instruction based on what I have learned throughout my CTAP 295 “experience.”

• This project has provided me with an invaluable amount of knowledge on Web Design and the Implementation of

Technology in the Classroom Curriculum.
