    A) HOLES POSITION FOR DEFLECTOR ANDSUBRACK INSTALLATION

    B) DXC RACK INSTALLATION Ideal height of rack is 7 feet and maximum allowable height of 8 feet, each rack should

be grouted properly to ensure it can withstand the weight of equipment.

Rack base should be installed beneath rack for sites which are in seismic zone >5. Install separate rack for fiber and coaxial cable distribution. Racks should be equipped with vertical cable managers for routing cables. Rack should have at least 3 feet of clearance in front and back for telecom equipment,

and recommended 4 feet of clearance in front and back for servers rack.

If all rows of racks are arranged with the equipment intakes facing the same way, progressively hotter intake air is passed from one aisle to the next, so it is better to planlayout to create separate hot air and cold air aisles.

Rack airflow and rack layout are key elements in cooling performance.

2 NGTRU INSTALLATIONA) NGTRU POWER CONNECTIONSFor a 2-wire environment Ground & battery +ve are common. For this type of configuration, following isrequired to be followed:

    a. Shortening strip is required at the NGTRU endb. Jumper at DC-DC converter is also required.

The lower Part of Rack which is to befixed on Floor.

    c. Switch at DC-DC converter shall be in upper positiond. Rack will be grounded and then NGTRU

Dont remove this strip, Makesure that this strip is in place

    C) FIBER OPTIC CABLE INSTALLATION The first choice for installing fiber optic cables is to lay the cables within the fiber cable

rack in a straight line enabling utilization of the maximum capacity of fiber supportsystem.

Three are ways to manage the acceptable slack limits with in cable rack.

Circular fiber spool should be used to store additional length of fiber patch chords. Fibers should be properly laid down without violating bending radius to avoid dislodging

of or damage to the fiber and consequent impact on traffic.

    D) SWITCH POSITION OF DC-DC CONVERTER

    E) JUMPER SHORTENING AT DC-DC CONVERTER

    F) GROUNDING IN DXCAlways connect Grounding cable fromGround bar to DXC Rack.

    G) PATCH CORDS ROUTING Patch cords to be connected to SFP with bend radius of 45 degree and Labels to be

    connected at 10mm from connectors.

Fibers should be properly labeled in order to promptly and correctly identify them incase of field intervention. Fibers should be routed properly considering bending radiusrequirement, also bending protection should be mounted in equipment/rack to respectminimum bend radius.

Unused patch chord connectors should be protected with covers to avoid dustaccumulation on the interface.

When routing patch chord away from the equipment, consider how the fanassemblies, modules, and power supplies are removed and inserted when it comestime for upgrades or replacements. low smoke Zero Halogen quality patch chordsshould be used, which prevents spreading of fire.

Patch-cords should be cleaned by Cleansing Tissue soaked with Isopropyl Alcoholwhenever there is patch-cord removal for any type of maintenance activity. Ensureavailability of isopropyl alcohol and cleaning tissue at all sites. Fibers and cablesshould not cross front-areas of other boards to allow safe board-swap and fiber/cablemanagement.

Routing of the patch cords should be routed properly and tie them Velcro tape.
