With the various flow switches of the DYNAguard Series, there isa solution for almost every task when monitoring of transport pro-cesses for bulk solids is needed.Disturbances in transport systems for powder, granulates, pelletsor other bulk material are detected early and severe subsequentdamages can be avoided.

DYNAguard GM
The dust monitor DYNA guard GM is used to detect malfunctionsin dedusting plants, which can be caused by damaged or incorrect-ly installed filtration media. The used electrostatic measure mentprinciple is based on a modified triboelectric principle. Not only par-ticles which hit the measuring rod are detected, but also those pas-sing by. Because signal damping is adjustable, short peaks do notcause a false alarm. The signal gain can be adjusted easily accor-ding to the individual process. With the analog output version (in connection with a PLC) it is possible to monitor more than one threshold andto plan filter maintenance by monitoring thecleaning cycles.
Because of the non-contact measurement, transport processesremain undisturbed. With the use of different measurement princi-ples, the best possible choice for the individual application can bemade. Almost any bulk material from lowest concentrations up tomany t/h can reliably be detected. The instruments have proventhemselves also in harsh environments e.g. at blast furnaces insteelworks.

DYNAvel
The DYNAvel serves to measure the conveying velocity of bulk material, powder and dust in pneuma-tic conveyors or free fall processes — contact-less and without calibration. From lowest concentrati-ons up to dense phase conveying the system provides high-precision measurement results.
The modular design of the DYNAvel allows an easy integration to all common transport ducts. Also forlength measurement at conveyor belts or in production lines various process couplings are available.
Thanks to the approved CAN-bus technology that is used for communication between the systemcontroller and the sensor, systems can be expanded up to 10 measurement points.

DYNArad
To determine the mass flow rate in pneumatic conveyors and free-fall applica -tions the measurement system DYNArad combines the measured values of avelocity measure ment (DYNAvel) and a radiometric concentration measure-ment (LB442). The simultaneous determination of these two values makes thisflow measurement independent from variable product properties or processconditions.Once the system is calibrated in the process (e.g. in a truck or rail-car loading station) it is not necessary to recalibrate it, while it gua-ran tees a very good repeatability of the results.DYNArad can be used also under extreme conditions, operatescontact-less and does not have any moving parts. For the concen-tration measurement we are using instruments of our long-termpartner Berthold Techno logies in Bad Wildbad, Germany.

DYNAmas
The DYNAmas (capacitive measurement) is used to determinethe mass flow rate of all kinds of bulk solids online, either in pneu-matic conveying systems or in free fall. Separately from each other the transport velocity and the productconcentration is measured and used to calculate the mass flowrate. Thus, the instrument is independent from changing trans-port velocities.The device is easy to calibrate and because of the small dimen-sions also easy to integrate in existing plants. It can be used forsmaller up to very high flow rates.Parametrization and display of the measured values is done withthe com mu nication unit DYNAcon which has several interfacesfor connection to a PLC.

DYNA M-flow
Using state-of-the-art microwave technology the DYNA M-flow isdesigned for mass flow rate measurement in metallic pipelinesfrom a few kg/h to many t/h. Any bulk material like powders, dust, pellets or granulates can bemeasured online in pneumatic conveyors or free fall applicationswith high accuracy.
The measurement principle of the DYNA M-flow is based on theDoppler effect. The sensor generates a uniform microwave fieldinside the pipeline and particles passing by the sensor arereflecting the microwaves. The reflected waves arereceived by the device and by evaluating thefrequency and amplitude changes the massflow rate is determined. Parameters for upto 24 different products can be stored.
SOLIDS FLOWMETER WITH MICROWAVE TECHNOLOGY
The patented measuring system DYNAchute is a unique flowmeter which combines proven weighing technology with non-con-tact velocity-measurement. By measuring the weight and the flowvelocity at the same time — similar to the belt-weigher principle —the mass flow rate of pourable bulk solids is determined in free fallprocesses with very high accuracy. Unlike with impact meters, changing product-properties or varyingfall velocities have no influence on the measuring accuracy of thissystem. Hence a complex calibration in the process especially withseveral products is not required. Also regular recalibration is notnecessary while a very high reproducibility of the measuring resultsis granted. Operational cost can be reduced to an absolute mini-mum and regular maintenance is normally not requi-red, because the flowmeter does not have anymoving components, the solids are flowing smoothlyover the weighing chute and the sensor system iswell protected.
