The Seres C geometry is designed around 27.5 wheels which offer agility and increase rolling speed. Suntour XCT forks are reliable and plush, they have lock out function and long travel. Gearing is Shimano Deore 2x10, wide ratio spread with less complexity. Shimano hydraulic disc brakes are positive, efficient, and reliable. Shimano hubs and double wall rimmed wheels are fitted with Schwalbe Rapid Rob tyres for speed and traction in a wide variety of conditions. Weight is kept low with alloy finishing parts including the handlebars stem and seat post.

Disc brakes are arguably the most important and significant development in bike technology in the last few years. They are the key specification feature on this bike. Modulation of the braking improves confidence in all conditions. The wet weather performance is a boon to safety and the stopping distance in the dry is superior due to increased ultimate stopping power. The Sport Disc has a light alloy frame and Shimano 21 speed gearing with STI shifters, these are quality features that make this a great all-round mountain bike.

The main focus of the Lyra’s design is the frame geometry. An off road bike works well with a diamond shaped frame, it reduces flex and allows efficient power transfer to the rear wheel. The difference in physiology between men and women means that a different frame geometry works better for the smaller ladies. The Lyra frame has a shorter reach whilst retaining correct pedaling position. The drop in the top tube inspires confidence off road when the need to dismount can catch you unawares. The specification of the bike is suited to off road use with mechanical disc brakes and Shimano 21 speed gears controlled using intuitive Shimano STI gear shifter. Riser style ATB handlebars and a ladies specific saddle help with control and comfort when the going gets rougher.
