We are currently hiring Dozer Operators, Laborers, Liner Technicians & QA/QC Technicians- candidates need to complete a job application on www.comanco.com or send resume to [email protected] or call 813-988-8829.

The COMANCO team has recently been working on the Boyette Reclaimed Water Reservoir project located in Pasco County, Florida. COMANCO’s scope of work is the supply and installation of 60mil HDPE Liner, Composite, Textile and GCL on the slopes of the reservoir, which is about 20 acres in area. The top is anchored in the perimeter road and the bottom is tied into a TRD seepage cut-off wall that is 60-feet deep.

The reservoir is expected to be completed this Fall. Once completed, the reservoir will store 500 million gallons of reclaimed water that will increase and help balance water supply to the residents of Pasco County for lawn and landscape irrigation during wet and dry seasons.

Everyone has been working hard and safe, adjusting to inclement weather and site conditions to exemplify the core values of Safety, Quality, and Service. The crew is led by Foreman Nathan Wilfong, and Project Engineer Mohammad Lutfiyya. Keep up the great work team!

COMANCO Referral Program The referral program at COMANCO is great for all who participate:

• Current employees receive a referral bonus for each new employee they refer to COMANCO ($250 after first 3 months of employment and $250 more after 3 more months) • We hire candidates who our employees want to work side-by-side with. In construction, where teamwork and safety are paramount, we trust that our employees send their best referrals to us!

We hired 25 new employees, so far, in 2015! As in the past, our current employees sent their referrals to COMANCO and we hired many of the candidates who were referred to us for various positions: Laborers, Technicians, Operators and a Project Engineer!

Special Thanks to employees who referred candidates to HR in the last 3 months:

• Alfredo Flores • Francisco Rubi Murillo • Kelvin Williams • Juan Jimenez Gonzalez • Justino Macedo • Silvino Sanchez Olivares • Nick Rauh • Oscar Ochoa • Patrick Harris • Pedro Beltran • Dragan Milosavljevic

In January and February, COMANCO employees attended several Open Enrollment meetings: Luz Lopez, HR & Benefits Administrator, met with employees at various job sites, at the corporate office and in online meetings!

In the benefits meetings, COMANCO employees gained an understanding of the benefits COMANCO offers and asked questions about insurance plans, deductibles, life and disability insurance and 401(k).

Luz and Natalia, from HR, would like to say, ‘THANK YOU’ to the Foremen, Superintendents, Project Engineers and Project Managers for your cooperation! With your support, HR reached out to all active employees and gave each employee an opportunity to learn about all the benefits COMANCO offers!

Benefits Open Enrollment 2015 - Big Success!!!

I get asked this question pretty frequently. There are two schools of thought when it comes to shutting down a PC:

1. The more you turn your PC off and on, the more it wears out.

2. Turn off your PC when not in use to conserve en-ergy and make it last longer.

WhenShould ITurn Off

My Computer?

These simple steps will help maintain your COMANCO machine in top condition and assist me in maintaining our equipment.

As always come by the IT office if you have any questions or concerns and I will be happy to walk through the process with you.

Field users should power their laptops off and on as required:Monday through Thursday you should lock your machine when you leave for the day. On Friday, before leaving, you should restart your machine and leave it at

the login prompt.

Let me explain the “Best Practice” for COMANCO office com-puters. If you turn your computer off, scheduled maintenance can-not be performed. In order to maintain a healthy network please leave your office computer on and never shut it down.

Matt DiTarando, COMANCO IT Department

COMANCO Making Progress on Cooling

Pond Liner Installation

COMANCO continues to make progress on a Cooling Pond Liner Installation project at a closed chemical plant in Florida. The project scope is comprised of the instal-lation of 160 acres of smooth and textured HDPE liner with the installation of geocomposite as a gas ventilation system underneath the liner.

The crew is being led by Project Superintendent Max Macedo, Project Engineer Craig Stevenson, Project Manager Dragan Milosavljevic and Sr. Project Engineer Nick Bridges. The project is expected to be completed by the summer of this year.
