Remember in Prayer:Remember in Prayer:Remember in Prayer:Remember in Prayer:
Pray for our children and teachers and all those that are involved in teach-ing and leading all children, middle school through high school and the college students. Pray for their safety, for Christian leaders to be there to help direct them on the right path. Pray that this school year may be a time that many will come to know the Lord and for those who know Jesus to stand firm in their faith and be a great influence in other lives.
If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will for-give their sin and heal their land.

the loss of his mother Leona Barnes. Our prayers are with you during this time and for all
your family.
Seminary Extension North Grand River Baptist Semi-nary Extension is looking forward to celebrating our 50th year of existence. During the Annual Meeting on September 10th, we will have a time to share informa-tion of the past and looking to the
future. We plan to start our Fall Semester on September 29th and will be studying the Book of Jeremiah. If you are interested in taking the class, please contact Dan Wilford or the associational office of your intent. We need to know in advance if you are serious about taking the class. Again this year the registration fee has been paid and stu-dents will be responsible only for the textbook. Please pray for your Seminary Extension, pro-mote it, and plan to attend the class. I am per-sonally thankful for those who have been so faithful in attending in the past. Let’s look to a brighter future. We meet on Thursdays at 7:00 pm at the NGRBA Mission Center in Trenton.
Pray for the C h i l d r e n ’ s Camp on August 1-5. Pray for the leaders, stu-dent campers that God will
do a mighty work in each of their lives. Pray for protection from the heat.

Buckets of LoveBuckets of LoveBuckets of LoveBuckets of Love The Buckets of Love hospice kits, a Baptist Global Response initiative, to send to our mis-sionaries and Baptist partners in Africa, who in turn, present the buckets to persons dying of AIDS related illnesses. Missouri Baptists have sent over 750 buckets to Africa this year. Bill and Carol Bowers are the coordinators of the Bucket Project. You can go online to www.gobgr.org/buckets and locate the shopping list (all supplies are available at Wal-Mart) and pack buckets using the instructions. These buckets can be brought to the Missouri Baptist Convention Annual Meeting in Springfield, MO on October 26-28. There will be a booth set up to accept the buck-ets.

Foster Care Training Meeting
August 2, 2016 6:00 pm
Trenton First Baptist Church
The Missouri Baptist Children’s Home is coordinating with the state of Missouri in training families to be-come foster parents. There is a great need in our area for foster parents.
This training is for Grundy, Davies, Mercer and all surrounding counties.
Please pray about becoming a foster parent or if you know someone who would make a good foster par-ent, please come to this meeting.
These children just need someone to love them and take care of their needs.
Apple Festival 2016
Saturday, September 10, 2016 9:00 am—3:00 pm
First Baptist Church, Raymore
Because Missouri Baptist Children’s Home is primarily supported through private sources, funds to operate the ministry come from the Cooperative Program, en-dowment, Baptist churches and individual donations. Crafts, quilts, children’s area and a variety of apple-related foods are just a few of the many reasons the Festival is a day full of fun, food and fellowship for the entire family. Handmade crafts and quilts are donated to the Children’s Home from all over the state. There will also be live entertainment and craft vendors.

Medicine Valley- We had a successful three day VBS in June led by Diann and several members of the BSU. We are very grateful for their assistance and for the opportunity to become better acquainted with the BSU and with some of the students. We thank God for Diann’s capable leadership and her com-passion for these young people.
We have scheduled for another three day VBS in late July to be led by youth from Shelburne Baptist Church. Shelburne has been and continues to be a prime supporter of these ministries for which we give
God the thanks.
In addition, to my regular pastoral duties, sermon preparation, visitation and etc. I am now spending time in refurbishing and restoration of old furniture and artifacts, to be sold in our booth at the “Dusty Attic” in Jamesport, with profits, (when there are any) going into the ministry.
We appreciate those who have given old materials, artifacts and furniture (broken or otherwise) and antiques or collect-ables in support of this mission. Might I suggest that it would be great if a church or churches would name a day for peo-ple to bring such items to their church house, we would be most willing to pick up the collected items at a pre-arranged time.
Please keep praying for God’s leadership in all the affairs of this ministry. Our thanks for all who support this “Mission in Your Own Backyard”.
Trenton FBC- The month of July has been exciting for our church. July 3rd, Duane, Michelle, Abby and Ashten John-son hosted an all church fellowship at their country home. July 10-14 we held our VBS with a family night on Friday. The children shared songs they learned. A light supper was served afterwards. Shawn Allee and Christy Gottman held our first Soccer Camp on July 21st-22nd. They were pleased with the atten-dance. Sunday, July 31st we will be having our evening service at Crowder State Park shelter house. Our annual Helping Hands back to school event will be Saturday, August 6th at 8:00 am. There will be clothing for ba-bies through high school and school supplies. This is a free event. Sunday, August 28th at 6:00 pm, Walter Plant will be here to minister to us by sharing his unique style of gospel music. All are welcome. Keep cool. Alpha Baptist Church
