Learning that enable or supported by the use of digital tools and content. It typically involves some form of interactivity.

E-learning is connecting with computer based learning, distance learning throughout internet based learning and web-based learning.

THE PURPOSE:

Increase access to learning opportunity and flexibility in study

Enhance general quality of education

Able to develop skills and competencies of the learner

Able to accommodate variety of education method

Able to decrease the cost to study

E-LEARNING APPLICATIONE-LEARNING AS EDUCATION FACILITIES

E-learning can use various facilities, media and technology. Generally e-learning uses Learning Management System (LSM) or Virtual Learning Environment.

Contain: webpages, link to other website, chat client, quizzes, storage mechanism, and record system.

Another media in e-learning are email, blog, mailing list, etc.

Some important point to be considered when the educator choose e-learning to teach are:

Multimedia

Contiguity (picture and writing)

Modality (narrator)

Redundancy (to much could disturb)

Coherence (a line with the learning purpose)

Personal (exercises and discussions)
