    Night Suppers

    will resume in

    the Fall.

    Habit forming

Habits actually control a life. Theonly way to become master of

one's career is to form such hab-its as will guarantee the fulfill-ment of one's deepest wish. A

good habit will fight a moral bat-tle for the individual and win the

victory before he is conscious thathe has been in danger; while onthe other hand, evil habits may

carry him to defeat even when hedesperately tries to hold his own.

-Arlo Ayres Brown in Problems ofChristian Living

    A Good Habit to Form

Often out of habit we pray, likebefore bed or before a meal.

Making prayer a habit is a goodthing...making what we say inthose prayers a habit is not a

good thing. Each prayer should bea new conversation with our

heavenly Father. We should newlypraise Him, seek Him out aNEW,

and wait on the Holy Spirit toreNEW our strength.

Now why not cultivate some othernew habits concerning prayer aswell...like carrying a prayer bookwith you to write down other peo-ples prayer requests and prayingregularly for your Pastor, SundaySchool Teachers and members

    doing mission work.

BTW...have you signed-up for theprayer vigil for the Baltimore

    Mission Team yet?

The Week at a GlanceWhat is a father?

Being a male species does not make a man a father, for a dad is a special blend of hero; disciplinarian; afriend; someone to look up to; someone to model someone with a touch of the mother in him; someonewho is big enough to say, The fault was mine someone who lives the kind of life that makes you want to

say, I, too, shall follow Him! Dr. Alton Kaul
