1. Can you provide a network diagram that shows the location of the switches and POE devices for the schools?
a. The following map provides location of switches in the MDF and placement of existing AP’s: Coppell Elementary Existing (available upon request)
2. Does the AP placement map used in the meeting display existing access points at both elementary schools?
a. No, the map used in the meeting does not display existing access point placement at both schools.
3. Will the awarded vendor be responsible for removal, inventory and return of the existing wireless equipment?
a. Yes, the old equipment will need to be removed, inventoried and returned to the CISD Service Center, 1303 Wrangler Circle, Coppell, TX 75019
4. Will you provide a list of what wireless, networking, and POE/POE+ equipment is currently installed at both school?
a. Xirrus XR4830/7630/520 b. Cisco WS-C4510R+E
5. Does Coppell ISD require new fiber provider to follow existing inter-site fiber routes and conduit or allowed to construct new routes as needed?
a. We would prefer diversity from our existing fiber as much as possible to provide the greatest resiliency. New routes can be constructed as needed.
b. Here is an approximate map for our current fiber plant: CISD Fiber Plant 6. Does Coppell ISD maintain existing inter-site conduit/duct-bank available for use by new
fiber provider? a. Yes, Coppell ISD maintains existing conduit/duct-bank.
7. Please clarify Coppell ISD’s basic expectations re: fiber network service delivery. FPL FiberNet can deliver several variations of a Private and/or Dedicated fiber Wide Area Network;
● Dark Fiber strands; Service Provider constructs and provides Coppell ISD only the physical fiber-optic cabling (FOC) infrastructure. Coppell ISD would typically provide all routing and switching network equipment and all optical interfaces needed to “lite” the Dark Fiber infrastructure.
● Hybrid: Service Provider constructs and provides Coppell ISD the Dark Fiber infrastructure as well as providing pluggable optical interfaces (aka: modulating electronics) needed to lite the Dark Fiber infrastructure using Coppell ISD existing network routing and switching equipment.
● Lit - Managed Services; Service Provider constructs and provides Coppell ISD a ‘Total’ solution including the physical fiber-optic infrastructure including customer premise interfaces needed to deliver and manage any
Ethernet connectivity (E-LINE, E-LAN, E-TREE) or dedicated Internet access (DIA) services.
a. All solutions will be taken into consideration. We are looking for a cost-effective
solution that provides the greatest resiliency for our campuses. 8. Please identify Coppell ISD’s mission-critical applications?

a. Network outages happen occasionally due to construction, fiber damage, etc. 12. Please clarify if Coppell ISD requires or could benefit from any of the following services
