How can I be sure that my document has not been tampered with?

If a document has been signed and certified on the Legalesign platform, you can be confident that the integrity of the document has been maintained. A complete signing history is included and digitally certified with the document. If any subsequent change is made, the digital certificate will be broken (this will be shown on the face of the document).

Does the certification expire?

Not with Legalesign. Our PDFs are certified with "Long Term Validation." This means that the authenticity of the certificate itself is contained and time-stamped within the document; there is no risk of expiry, and re-certification is not required.

How secure is the platform?

Security is our priority. Legalesign is ISO27001 certified for electronic signature and document management. The Legalesign platform is fully redundant, and high-availability architecture is in place for excellent reliability. We use secure isolated data facilities in the UK that meet ISO9001 and ISO27001 standards.

A robust e-signature

An e-signature is a secured digital audit trail of the signing process. Justlike the traditional signature, its purpose is to identify the signer and toassociate them with the document that they have signed; providingevidence of their intent to be legally bound to its terms.

From initial send to final signature, the Legalesign platform collects andsecures detailed and comprehensive evidence of the entire signing process:

The one-use-link, sent by the platform to the signer's emailaddress, uniquely links the document to the signer. Furtherauthentication methods can be built in;
