Families, we need your school

1. Mail the packet back to school. Your
envelope has a Heritage mailing label on it
for your convenience.
2. Stop by school anytime. There is a box on
the front porch where you can drop the
envelope.
3. Drop your envelope off at Heritage in the
office M-F 8:00 a.m-4:00 p.m.
How to Access Your Child's Daily Work:
The Heritage Hub is the link you will use to access all of
your child's work.
• We will begin each morning at 8:00 with Community
Time in each child's virtual classroom.
• At our Chromebook roll-out, each child received a packet
of materials from his/her teacher. This packet matches all the
virtual work. Therefore, if your child is having trouble accessing
his/her work virtually, you may use the packet.

Update on District Hot Spots: There has been a delay in shipment of the hot spots on Sprint's end due to COVID. We really have no idea when they will arrive. When they do arrive, the district will be reaching out to parents on a first come first serve basis in the order in which parents signed up. Update on Meal Delivery: If you signed up for free meal delivery, the bus will bring them to the address you listed on the form. Please have someone watching for the bus. The busses are
leaving school at 10:00 to begin deliveries. You'll need to go to the bus to receive your meal. Please remember to wear your mask. The child's name will be requested as meals can only be given to Shelby County students.
Shelby County Public Schools will provide free wireless devices and service to eligible students
Again, this year, our school district is participating in the 1Million Project Foundation, a national effort to help high school students,
such as yourself, achieve your full potential by providing you with a free mobile device with high-speed Internet access. Last year,
only eligible high school students could participate. This year, the 1Million Project Foundation has opened that up to all grades, K-12.
Participating in this program will help ensure that you have the 24/7 Internet access you need to be successful in today’s school
environment. It can also help you gain the digital skills needed for today’s jobs. This is a completely free program for both our school
district and for you to participate in.
What will Eligible Students Receive?
• A free hotspot device (to connect your laptop or tablet to Wi-Fi)
• 10GB per month of free high-speed wireless data
What Can I Do with My Device?
• Online research for your school papers
• Submit homework that must be submitted online
• Connect online with your teachers and fellow students
• Complete scholarships or enrollment for college
• Anything else (appropriate) online
Don’t let an inability to access the Internet at home stand in the way. In order to apply for a hotspot, please complete the following
