SafetyIF YOU HAVE TO ASK IF IT IS SAFE THEN YOU SHOULD NOT DO IT!
2011 ESA Safety Audit• Conducted by Anthony Brickhouse • Identified Strengths and Weaknesses of ESA• Offered some opportunities for us to improve our operations
• The organization has a strong safety culture, with competent leadership in place. Members of the ESA Club are serious about safety as well. However, the underlying issue discovered from both assessments shows that complacency is one of the highest threats to the ESA and has yet to fully be resolved. Even though the nature of flight activity that ESA Club performs is quite open, club members (including its leaders and instructors) should always follow the rules, guidelines, and procedures set for the club
Operational Changes
Things we are working on:- Placards for all of the airplanes Includes Checklist and Egress procedures- Creating and online safety test- Increase the amount of ground schools- Parachute clinic
