I hope that you are all beginning to thaw out from winter. Spring is always such an exciting time. The flowers are blooming and the animals are starting to explore again outside. Spring always reminds me of new life. Speaking of New Life or in this case New Programing… Child Care Answers is excited to share that we have begun some new programing to better serve you. We have added a new School Age Specialist as well as a new Early Childhood Development Specialist. Jenny Mathis, our new School Age Specialist, will be offering training and technical assistant to providers that care for elementary aged children when they are out of school. Jenny comes to us with over 15 years of experience. Most recently she was working in Wayne Township. Jenny has been a Program Assistant and a Program Director for AYS. Candice Wise, our new Early Childhood Development Specialist, will be available to help you work through challenging classroom issues. She will be offering trainings and technical assistance on appropriate guidance and discipline techniques as well as offering suggestions of how programs can adjust to best meet the needs of all of the children that they serve. Candice comes to us from Action for Children, a Child Care Resource and Referral Agency located in Columbus Ohio where she was a Preschool Specialist and worked with Ohio’s Quality Rating and Improvement System. Candace has spent much of her career working for Head Start both in Marion County and the Lake County Area and has owned her own home child care. We have also excited to be adding to our Paths to QUALITY Coaching team. This exciting endeavor will add to new Coaches with Infant Toddler Emphasis. These Coaches will be able to add to our training and technical assistance around Infants and Toddlers. This calendar has been developed to meet the training needs of all early childhood professionals and parents in Bartholomew, Brown, Hamilton, Hendricks, Johnson and Marion counties. The trainings are designed to increase your skills and knowledge as you work to improve quality care for the

Happy Spring! I hope that you are all beginning to thaw out from winter. Spring is always such an exciting time. The flowers are blooming and the animals are starting to explore again outside. Spring always reminds me of new life.

Speaking of New Life or in this case New Programing… Child Care Answers is excited to share that we have begun some new programing to better serve you. We have added a new School Age Specialist as well as a new Early Childhood Development Specialist.

In the event a scheduled training is cancelled or rescheduled a Child Care Answers staff member will make every effort to contact you.
